Hey, I', hoping you will stick respond to comments on this video. I'm player in the UK. I go to a club and whilst we have a couple of Ex England players, they're not so good at coaching. I need a website or some place where I can watch/read about flicking techniques. Sometimes i get it perfect and it goes miles, i'm struggling to lift it high and get it to go far though, it's like one or the other for me lol. Thanks in advance.

no you dont need dorsal sticks to do that kinda stuff. in fact most people in the hockey world think that its better to have a low hard shot rather than a high weak shot because the higher ones are easier to knock down. and not many people can raise the puck with their backhands in canada

Oh my,please teach me how to do the inside flick... No idea how it works.. I own a pair of dorsal sticks but i can't seem to get the inside flicks right.. Any tips?
The first thing that people usually need to get right is trying to make the puck spin. It wont fly stable if its not spinning. (Just like a regualr flick). So aim to pull your elbow down to your hip to "cut the puck" realy quickly. And then I guess a lot of it is just pracice - Trying to build up muscles in your wrist and shoulder that barely get used. Good luck!
You should try out the Wonderstiks from America. I have the Wonderspoon model and no stick can get a better flick. See if you can get it out of the pool :P
There are enough different models of wonderstiks that a few are decent design... but the material is crap and the wonderspoon is NOT one of the good designs, kinda one deminsional.

yea ive noticed the backhands over yourself but can you guys like actually backhand the puck over your back so its lands right beside you so you dont have to move back to pick it up?

yea i know what your talking about that backhand over your body... but those land around your feet and maybe your knees if you get really good at it. but im talking about a shot that backhands over your lower back and the shot is perpendicular to your body so the puck lands around your waist or higher
yeah i've managed it to the waist before, but years ago when i had a shorter stick that was heaps better for it... probably had a pretty similar inside edge angle to the dorsal actually, little stubby thing. i'm sure we'll see what youre on about in your vid.
We did it over our backs a few times but didn't get any clear footage of it. I know Liams very good at it, seen him inside it past perpendicular and put it over his shoulders.. But no doubt Jordan you can do that already and will show us how in your next vid . In fact you might as well teach us a few more tricks while you're at it, it seems us kiwis are a bit behind time these days...
well if you can do it why not try to get sum good footage of it and throw it in ur vid? and liam can throw it over his shoulders?? like from a backhand starting at his side? thats pretty dec.... im just going by what im seeing you guys putting up on the tube if i dont see it i dont know you can do it... just the way it is.

no you dont need dorsal sticks to do that kinda stuff. in fact most people in the hockey world think that its better to have a low hard shot rather than a high weak shot because the higher ones are easier to knock down. and not many people can raise the puck with their backhands in canada
