One of the BEST pairings in a film,EVER! I was 16 when this was released in the UK,way back in 1976 & I am unashamed to say it reduced me to tears..Fast forward 30-something years & it's still my 'go to' film when I feel like a trip down 'memory lane'.There isn't 1 track in the film/album which is a dud.PERFECTION!

Was 17 years old when I saw this movie with my first love. He was Chris and I was Barbara. I mean I was the good girl and he was the wild boy. I knew watching the movie this would be us. This song rips my heart up. ONLY Barbara could sing it like this. Brings me right back to the moment of holding on so desperately to something that was so consuming knowing it was slipping right out of your grasp. Oh but the memories....so hot they will keep you warm for a lifetime.

Only six times. I saw it six times the first week it was in the theatre. Saw it probably 30 times at the theatre and I don't even noe how many since on video, DVD and TV. But I was a seriously disturbed barbraphile back in the 70's. I was 22yo then, 55 now. I still love her, but have not been to the movies six times total this past year. :)

I saw the movie 3 times and I cannot remember the number of times I have since watched it on video (thanks to somebody off here I managed to get the DVD (region 2) off Ebay, since for some unknown reason known only to Barbra and Sony it has not been released in the UK)...but this version is not from the film, it was on a much later album, Love Songs if I'm not mistaken, I prefer the film version which was later released on her Just For the Record box set...she has given me decades of pure joy!

Let it not go unsaid that this great song was written by the Master of Space & Time Leon Russell. It's only MHO she did it the best ofanyone...not only was her voice the best and the strongest it had ever been, but she introduced a whole generation to this wonderful movie about two people in love. No analysis needed, it's just a beautiful tune.

Oh there actually is one other person more obsessed with this than me. Yeay. I know every word to this movie. I've watched it a million time. She is gorgeous in it. A true star, with some real chemistry between them. Apparently they didn't get along during it. And lots more tidbits.

I think they secretly got along, but I heard that she is a workaholic. Well I didn't hear I read in the biography on her. And that she would eat everyone's food and is a real passionate person. A trendsetter, with Yentl. KK stopped drinking after seeing himself die in the car wreck. Love this movie.

me too!!! and yes I had the album right after this one when she was wearing the superman outfit that she wore in the movie. Those were her clothes and that is her cottage (after they sleep together) she sings "I was warned as a child of 13, not to act too strong" I also wash out your hair brush. You know that scene. that her house, her musical equip. Her fingernails are shorter on one hand.

I'm pretty sure they were. She's in the Oscar scene, where he says 'that's my award and I want it, damn you'. He was wasted for that scene infact he was wasted for a lot of the scenes. That was a real concert when they were outside with the motorcycle near the early part of the movie. Babs thought they'd hate her cause it wasn't rock enough but the audience went wild!!!!hmmm what else do I know. Lost inside of you is her music and Paul williams too.

I did know that was a real concert they held and you can tell by some of the footage. I didn't know he was drunk in some of the scenes. What book did you find this out in? I read one of her books a long time ago that someone else wrote. Thanks for any info.
