convert to RWD or at least get a torque distributer and set it at 10<90....whack a high RPM turbo and a race exhaust+chamber on it and thats one fun little drifting pick-up LOL!!!
I've watched this prob 5 times and the creepy gypsy cameraman with the ballet shoes curling up into the passenger footwell gives me nightmares...I always check before I get in my truck now
Engines do not absorb an impact. There is a huge amount of enginering that goes into keeping the engine out of the passenger compartment in a crash. That being said more structure in the front does help absorb impact or "borrow" the crumple zone from the other car.
They're MT legal. I've used mine for multiple hauling jobs and camping. 75'ish mph on highway in 5th gear. Theyre noisy. Mine is Diahatsu, a Toyota -owned co. A blast in mud and snow! 42 mpg on mine w/8 gal fuel tank. So around 336 miles per tank M/L. Thats around $22 a month to drive. NOTE: These vehicles have center/rear mounted engines leaving NOTHING to absorb impact. One has to be an EXTREMELY defensive driver. If you hit anything, you're done for!
they are cool,i saw one at a car lot but they said it wasnt usa legal,i thought it was cool, there are to many laws in usa over autos,it really sucks, have fun,i wish they where road legal here......
How fast can they go at top gear and full speed? I was told they range only from 25MPH-45MPH since the government won't fully regulate them. But are they freeway legal?
It's in canada, so the government doesnt care so long as its over 15 years old. I bet it could get up to 80mph on a highway with enough of a straight :)
I have a 5th gear and I drive it around 75 mph. You have to do Kei math when driving as the speedometer is in kilometers ph. You drop the last number on the speedometer, then multiply by 6. That equals your speed M/L in mph. Say I'm going 40 kph. I take 4 x 6 and I'm going roughly 24 mph; 7o kph = 7x6=42 mph...
And ours are freeway/interstate legal; depends on the state.
How many stoppies have you done?
