Very prominent here in Paradise. "Just massaging your cervix" is the excuse for the mother who cries out in pain and asks the doctor to stop. She bleeds for a day or two and then "mysteriously" goes into labor before 37 wks. Another woman is silenced and subjected to an artificial labor prompt. JBB-Kailua, HI
Hey Nik! Aloha. Next time add stripping membranes at as early as 36 weeks without permission OR warning! As you know this practice is widespread in Hawaii and on the mainland as well. Prominent doc here has gone to calling it "just massaging your cervix" when mothers call out in pain and ask the doctor to "STOP". I tell my students there is but ONE thing that needs to be massaging the cervix! And if labor does not follow within a week, this doctor does it again! Aloha,

A womn goes 2 th hospitl insted of havin a hom birth
becuz th baby poopd in hs sack. This woman cannot
use her midwife because she is in the hospital.
Th hospital, won't let her push when her
body says push . . 4 2 hrs becuz her cervix is slightly
swolln & dilated 9.5c. Th midwife
infrms her that sh cud easily assist the push by slipping
the cervix ovr th baby's head when she bears down. Now ths womn has
pelvic floor issus&still looks pregnant&no longer feels
comfortabl in her own body.
