@WCWESmackdown No hardware except my MIDI keyboard (Korg nanoKey) is hooked up. The "MPC" you're referring to is probably the Kong Drum Designer, a software device inside Reason.
Is there any other music manufacturer that offers so much to its users in terms of these lessons as Propellerheads? I dont think so. They have a fan for life.
@Stefan2970 You can't sample an audio track as there are no audio tracks in Reason 5. You can sample anything else though, it's a feature of Reason 5!
@AnosouMattias Hmm. Well so the wireing he is doing, i cannot in Reason? Sorry for asking these questions but i am trying to wrap my head around it :)
You can do the wiring and sampling in Reason, of course!
You just can't use "audio tracks". This means you can't record, for example, your own electric bass and then sample it. You can if you have Record+Reason Duo though!
Couldn't you have just imported the slap bass track into the nn-nano as a sample and edited it from there, with out going to the extra step of re-wiring on your set up to re-sample it? lol. I suppose for some it's just the excitement of saying it's been sampled.
@mathewshearer I could've just bounced the bass track to a .wav file, imported that wav into NN-Nano and edited the sample by right clicking and selecting "Edit Sample". However that's a less convenient way of doing it to me. It's good that you can do things in different ways though, a workflow that suits you.
If you dont want clicking you can also set the loop/crop points to zero. Too bad there's no autofunction for it in reason/record. Something i also miss is a autolooplength .. "thing", so you automatically would set left and right to a 4 beats, 8 beats, 16 etc .. oh well, cant have it all :)
I really wish I had the $550 to get Reason-Record Duo. Reason is my fav DAW of all time, and I wish I had the money to straight up buy it--hopefully soon :).
thanks for the MMM Guys! It's definitely something incredible!

@ADoseofReality1 Agreed! I've learned so much from these (and James's old) videos and I work as their product specialist. ;)

@mathewshearer He EQ'd it and added tape distortion by sampling it.
