Reduce the mist behind me at a rainy day in traffic, so other motorist can see better my tail ligths and brake lights. Also prevent the tires, to shoot out small rocks from the pavement, towards other motorist behind me!
You are not alon on the road! You have to think about what your rig can cause!
So may the flaps looks stupid, but I use them for your safety!
Nice, I just got a 89 cherokee: 4.0, AW4, NP231, DANA 35 rear :( 3.55, Dana 30 Front 3.55, Soon to have 31 MTs on stock rims, Rough country 3.5" lift.
Theres some videos on my channel.
My girlfriend has a black 96. Stock 4.0, AW4, NP231, Chrysler 8.25 w/3.55s, Dana 30 front 3.55. ~29.5" tires, nice aluminum rims, 21mpg @65mph, 2100rpm.
It does rub front and rear. The fact is, I didn't install (yet) a bumpstops, but I should to. Because I'm not an off road enthusiast but I'm a wildlife photographer, so mostly I drive light off road, so wasn't important to install bumstops or trimming the fenders. I'm OK with this rig. But I thinking to takeing off the plastic fender rim because those take about 2" room.
The mud flaps are an important safety features!
