  • me encantó, muy épico, que música más majestuosa *o*

  • This is RHAPSODY - EMERALD SWORD ¬¬

  • The last scream is damn powerfull.

  • Is this the first power metal album dedicated to a female historical figure? I say we need one about Cleopatra, orrr... Catherine the Great!

Agree with the Gamma Ray comparison. To me this album isn't quite as good as Hastings 1066 musically, but it's up there.

  • I don't like metal song but i love this song!!!!!!!!

  • hate this song... ... ... ... ... NOT! ;)

  • Aaaaah, the solo is just fucking great....

  • this song sounds SO familiar for some reason. I can't figure out why.

  • Fuck me, fuck me in the arse, with this song please

  • Awesome. Sounds like Christian Gamma Ray!

  • @4AaronMichael YEAH GO GAMMA RAY!!!!!

  • If anyone knows, when was this album recorded? please.

  • epic!

  • LoL the main riff is like Burzum - War.

  • They should Tour with Rhapsody Of Fire. it would be Awesome to hear the two Italian Bands together.

  • first metal song of the first metal band i ever listened to

  • Comment removed

  • @MaggotF0rLife Hope its not the last :)

  • All Shall Perish is my favorite

  • @MaggotF0rLife You heard Thy Majestie before you heard Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Scorpions,...?

  • @Pbirv Yeah, I did. Is that a problem? I wasn't a metal head when I was born.

  • @MaggotF0rLife No problem at all. It's definitely a sign that you're getting old when the first metal band you hear is a newer one rather than the ones like Sabbath, Priest, Maiden, Scorps, etc, the bands that got me into metal some 30 odd years ago, who paved the way for the bands of today.

  • @Pbirv I'm 18 and I heard this when i was around 10 years old

  • @MaggotF0rLife I figured you were younger than me. I knew it was only a matter of time before someone got turned onto metal thru the newer bands before they'd heard the classic ones. I guess I was hoping it wouldn't happen so soon. Trust me, you may very well be thinking the same way when you're 47- assuming of course we haven't totally made this planet unliveable by then.

  • @Pbirv This feels like a classic band. And you're saying weird shit. "I guess I was hoping it wouldn't happen so soon."? And no, everyone's going to freak out in 2012 and the terrorists will make those psycho's predictions come true.

  • They may eventually become a classic band like Sabbath, Priest, etc, assuming they don't run into the kinds of problems that Anvil, The Rods, etc, did. No, I don't think the world will end in 2012. The point I was trying to make was that you hearing a newer band before you'd heard the classics makes me feel older. Yeah, getting older is inevitable, but I still like to feel like I'm still in my 20's. I wasn't trying to sound weird, although a few beers can sometimes produce that effect.

  • @Pbirv Have any other bands you want to give an example of instead of 4 bands? You've said "Sabbath, Priest, etc" 3 times now.

  • Sure- AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, KISS, Alice Cooper, Saxon, Motorhead, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Magnum, Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Megedeth, Venom, Krokus, Accept, UFO, Michael Schenker Group, Manowar, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Loudness, Motley Crue, Def Leppard(up until "Pyromania"), Whitesnake, Ratt, Kix, Y&T, Death, Bathory, Pantera, Girlschool, Helloween, Savatage, the Wild Dogs, Annihilator, Dokken, Blue Oyster Cult, Tygers Of Pan Tang, Angel Witch, Manilla Road, Warlord,....

  • @Pbirv Well good for you. You know your classic metal bands. I know like only 20 of those bands.

  • @MaggotF0rLife Yeah. And of course it's great to see newer bands like Thy Majestie doing the classic metal style, rather than the Korn, Slipknot, Limp Dickless, etc bands that so many younger people are claiming to be "real metal". I'm sure you've run across a few of those people.

  • @Pbirv I don't listen to Slipknot by the way. This account was made a long time ago when I did. I mostly listen to Carnifex, Born of Osiris, All Shall Perish, Suicide Silence, Deicide, etc... And since you replied to something 2 months ago, I have to say this. I know more of those bands you listed now.

  • @MaggotF0rLife You didn't strike me as a Slipknot fan. As for your knowing more of the bands I listed, GOOD- sounds like you're definitely catching on. Keep up the good work!

  • @Pbirv Lol thanks I guess.

  • @Pbirv Hey, it's been a while. I just want to say sorry if I sounded a little rude on my first few replies to you. I just read our little conversation over and it just sounds like it. Like when I said "You're saying some weird shit." and "Well good for you." (that one sounded smartass). Although, using the word 'sounded' doesn't quite fit this since we're typing, but you know. And telling you to list more bands than just those 3 you mentioned a lot sounded a little rude.

  • @MaggotF0rLife Don't worry about it. It's all kosh.

  • @Pbirv This entire list reads to me like Metal 101. If such a deliriously awesome class existed, this list alone would net you an A+.

  • @JDWForever 30+ years of listening to metal will do that. If such a class existed, I bet I could probably teach it.

  • @MaggotF0rLife Then you are very lucky!! ;-)

  • Nice strong drumline. I like it.

  • One word: awesome.

  • really great band :)

  • Powerfull XD

  • Joan of Arc

  • Epic!

  • In what country in american continent Thy Majestie has more fans: Brazil or Canada??

  • Brazil. I'm in Canada and I don't know a single Thy Majestie fan (other than myself). Plus, Brazil's main metal export is power metal (Angra, Hibria), Canada's is death metal (Cryptopsy, Kataklysm).

  • I live in the US, but I was going to guess Brazil, too. If there are few Thy Majestie fans in Canada, then there must be even fewer in the US, because we really don't know good music when it marches ten thousand strong up to our castle walls and says, "let's do this".

  • I'm from the US. Our main export is shitty metal and even shittier rap music.

  • Depends, some good metal but really really shitty power metal...

  • Which would you say is good? I can't even say as that I like Lamb of God, and Metallica is played out. That, and their new stuff is crap.

  • @spetznaz1337 You obviously don't know that many American bands.

  • None of them have the sound I like. None of the classic rock, new rock, or the metal (lamb of god, metallica, etc.) have what i'm looking for. I like anything from Rhapsody to Finntroll. If you really wish to look at my tastes, feel free to tour my favorites.

  • @spetznaz1337 Lamb of God and Metallica are two completely different bands (one of them sucks part-time, the other full-time). There is a lot of rock and metal out there that is worth giving a listen to. If you like Rhapsody and Thy majesty, you should check out bands like old Edguy and Freedom Call - if you like Finntroll, take a look at Korpiklaani and Equilibrium.

Don't give up on it, there is a lot of crap out there, but there's also some really good music.

  • @derfos666 Thanks for the info; however, I am already quite familiar with all those bands. It was actually supposed to be in response to a comment about American music I believe. I love my country (even through all the bullshit), but it's music sucks.

  • Why can´t italians have better english pronunciation?

  • whythe English do not bother to speak other languages?

  • Because English is the International Language of Business. People speak the language that is most used for doing business.

Plus the fact that Britain and America have had greater influence around the world than any other other countries. Remember the British Empire? It was once said that the sun never set on the British Empire. With such influence in all corners of the globe, more people around the globe know English than any other language.

  • now learn the chinese mandarin lenguage!!!jajaja or japanese...gringos!!!!

  • and you remember the spanish empire?it was the GREATEST influence around the world...Caribean,Malvinas,Flandes...

  • Aehm. Britain and America have had greater influence around the world than other country? I don't think so. I think italy or France had a greater influence. Let' talk about arts, food. When Italians ruled the world, british were naked hunting malls. So why can't you pronunciate well a single italian word, when you have robbed a lot of them for your dictionary (with a lot of art)?

  • I got news for you...I'm 3rd generation Italian-American

My great grand parent left Italy to escape the poverty and fascist-style governments of the early 20th Century.

  • .. Well, when i say "you", i'm talking about american or british people, not only to you. So if you speak a bit of italian, as i speak very well english, i think you've to be proud of it.

  • Why can't English speakers have better Italian pronunciation. I actually like this guy's accent.

  • Great song =)

  • Appropriately epic subject matter for equally epic metal. Few women are as remembered and venerated in history as Joan of Arc. Rock on!

  • obviously they respect stryper and what they did they are their own but definantly have that influence its rather nice

  • iron and steel are very different metals

  • Haven't heard this song in a long time. Nice to hear this band once again, thanks for uploading the song.

  • Thanks for the upload. I love this song!

  • Epic!!!!!!

  • they will be relising a album

  • =) so lovely

  • So Epic. I love this band :) Thanks DwarvenDwarf!
