They may eventually become a classic band like Sabbath, Priest, etc, assuming they don't run into the kinds of problems that Anvil, The Rods, etc, did. No, I don't think the world will end in 2012. The point I was trying to make was that you hearing a newer band before you'd heard the classics makes me feel older. Yeah, getting older is inevitable, but I still like to feel like I'm still in my 20's. I wasn't trying to sound weird, although a few beers can sometimes produce that effect.

Brazil. I'm in Canada and I don't know a single Thy Majestie fan (other than myself). Plus, Brazil's main metal export is power metal (Angra, Hibria), Canada's is death metal (Cryptopsy, Kataklysm).

@spetznaz1337 Lamb of God and Metallica are two completely different bands (one of them sucks part-time, the other full-time). There is a lot of rock and metal out there that is worth giving a listen to. If you like Rhapsody and Thy majesty, you should check out bands like old Edguy and Freedom Call - if you like Finntroll, take a look at Korpiklaani and Equilibrium.

Don't give up on it, there is a lot of crap out there, but there's also some really good music.
