Hey man! I started P90X tomorrow. Was about 14% BF now I'm reading 12%. I'm 16 years old. Only been dieting for a week, and it's been mostly high protein, moderate to low fat and low carbs. Should I consume whole grains? My diet is kind of like:
Breakfest: Omlet, Milk.
Snack: beef jerkey; water
Lunch: Chicken breast; vegetables; water
Snack: pepporoni chips, cheese sticks; water
Dinner(hour before workout): vegetables, brown rice, Meat. Water
@TrkMgnt92 It looks like you're on a good track. Your carbs are good but if you do feel sluggish or tired during the workout (lack of energy), you can add a little more complex carbs to your diet. However, everything looks good to me. You can also add boil egg whites if you want to get some added protein depending on how much you weigh. Try to consume about 1.5 grams of protein / pound of body weight a day.
Thanks for giving your nutrition plan! I think this was the part I needed the most help on. One question, though, When did you take all of your supplements? All at once at night? Spread out throughout the days during meals? Thanks!
Great Results, Did you foollow the nutrition guide at all?
Because Im not I am on my own diet, staying away from junk food , sugar and eating the right meats and proteins i should have and carbs, will i still get results ? i am on week 4 and so far i am seeing some results lost weight too gonna keep up with it till day 90!!
@ObeyDrew69 I'm 15 and I've done p90x all the way through and am currently doing the weight trsining exercises again. Trust me, don't expect results like this guy because at ur age, u dont have enough testosterone to build bulging hulk muscles. Nevertheless, u'll build incredible levels of strength. follo the nutrition guide in the p90x box and drink whey protien and/or "Muscle Milk" AFTER each weight exercise. also remembr to eat CONSTANTLY. hope this helps!
Just a quick question, you say this is over 90days, but at the start of the video the dates suggest its over a year? Anyways good job! im hoping for similar results, im somewhat larger than you at the start but im giving myself 9 months so shred the fat! have ordered p90x and the equipment needed! Also ordered Ripped Freak to help :)
@elNikobonito I don't think so. I'd probably concentrate on weight lifting if size is what you're going for. P90x focuses on toning even though weight is involved.
Did u eat the same breakfest/dinner and stuff everyday?? or did u switch it up? because i started doing p90x but without the diet i saw little bit result and then i stop i wanna start again and ima try ur diet see If it works good. thanks for the help
@enginerd350z you lost weight right? ok I got a question I'm 16 years pretty skinny got a 4 pack if I'm going to use that am I going to be skinnier or only more musclar?
@Dil1995 You will lose some fat and gain a little more muscle. I wouldn't be surprised if you lose weight (look thinner) after the program. If you want to get bigger, weight lift.
thanks sorry if i came out a bit negative i didnt mean to ..would a pull up bar and an adjustable set of weights be enough for this program as far as equipment is concerned?
@XristarasGamieste No problem at all. Yes, make sure the pull-up bar allows you to have different grasps, (i.e. close grip, wide grip, etc.) Adjustable weights are perfect for this. A thick mat helps provide cushion for sit-ups too.
@enginerd350z I was uncomfortable with the Creatine and R4 Recovery stuff, the latter i dont even know what that is. My friend took Creatine supplements and now he urinates like a girl constantly. I took some thru weight gainer and still skeptical about it. Amazing changes anyway, good job.
@itzpaizono I stuck to it to the T except 5 times I ate out during all 90 days. I didn't drink at all except maybe 3 alcoholic drinks during this time either. Sorry bud but that's the truth =) Good luck!
bro can u please tell us at what time you take your supplements at? and which one u take first.. it would really be helpful and great transformation man!
@Joelv01 I usually take protein/creatine right before and during the workout. I took recover powder afterwards. Fishoil i would just take throughout the day.
@4gentFrank The supplements help but the main thing is diet. In most cases buying fresh groceries is more inexpensive than eating out. However, diet is the key. You'll get some results but dramatic results require a good diet.
Hey man, just bought p90x and I want your awesome results, which one did you do lean, classics or doubles? Also, did you follow the endurance maximiser diet on the last 30 days and still lose weight?
@TheShoxsta011 I did classics. I did increase my carb intake the last 30 days but it wasn't by a huge amount. I didn't feel tired so I kept it low. However if you feel tired, I would suggest up'ing your carb intake. Good luck!!
just finished my 2nd week..im keepin up pretty good actually..only prob i have is i feel, well bloated after all the water i drink during the workout......n when will i start seein the numbers on the scale decrease?? im 5' 9 1/2" 180 lbs n im tryin 2 get to at least 160 lbs.......
@jacobwhite7666 Don't drink so much water if you're feeling bloated. Replenish afterwards if you need to. You'll see weight drop, I promise. But 2 weeks is too soon. Wait until your 3rd to 4th week. Keep bringing it and eating clean. Diet is key.
@melikecookies1000 Thanks. Yes, I took a picture everyday. It helps a lot to keep track of your progress. I'd recommend the same if not at least every week.
hey man! great results! thank you very much for including your diet and supplements used. it was nice to see someone that isn't a beachbody coach and pedaling their products. you're keeping it real, and i respect that. i'm on day 5. in shape but flab is hiding my beautiful abs :(. supplements are, ON wheat protein, muscle milk, no-xplode, anabolic halo, and multi v's. eating low fat low calorie foods. lots of fish (sushi) and vegetables. any advice! hope to get similar results. *liked*
@vtcolin Thanks a lot! It looks like you are on the right track. The only thing I'd be cautious of is eating too much fish. Overdosing on mercury can occur with too much seafood too often. Best of luck to you but I think you're definitely going to make great results.
@enginerd350z thanks for the heads up about mercury. i do need to watch out for that. i should at least try to avoid eating tuna too often at very least...
Please do not take offence, you look seriously ripped but at the 'after' picture are you flexing or not, i hope not because i want my my body to look like that.
My set is coming this weekend, I can't wait to start, I favorited this video to keep me inspired, I need it, when I get home from work most of the time I'm tired, so it will be hard for me.
@racsito39 Thanks for having me be the inspiration. I was in the same shoes, watching other peoples videos to be inspired myself when I first started. Bring it!!!
Hey man I'm french and i'm asian too. I saw your video you really brang me a strong motivation. I've just brung the P90X and i've started it 1 week ago. Thanks for your video!
I am only 16 so is it essential that i take the supplements? or would i get results just by following the eating plan and doing the workouts 6 days a week? btw great job!!
@ToKsxxxRush Thank you. Supplements help but IMO, the diet is the most important factor. If you can do that and the workouts, I think you'll see great results.
@ToKsxxxRush i have a question. I have p90 x it give me an option to use Interval x plus or abs/Core Plus which one do i use First. can you give me the steps on the ones to use and how long and things..I'm sick of this fat.
@BrianAlexMusic Brian, I did eat all that in one day. For breakfast I had oatmeal, for lunch chicken breast and vegetables, and for dinner chicken breast and vegetables. Everything else were snacks I had throughout the day or supplemental snacks during lunch. That's how I prevented myself from getting hungry throughout the day. I had 10am and 3pm snack times. Hope this helps.
Best. video. ever period. But, what I 'm gonna is: take P90X with Force Factor instead of the P90X supplements. I think that would build more muscle, but would shred less fat. But nevertheless, I'm going to follow the diet 100% of the time, so losing fat shouldn't be a serious problem.
@TerrenceAnimation I would recommend against P90X. In my opinion, P90X is good for shredding fat and maintaining muscle. However, for someone who is thin, your best course of action is to lift weights and maintain a healthy high calorie , high protein, medium carb diet. Put on some muscle before you trim up. If you do P90x now, you will end up leaner but won't have the muscle mass for the "athletic" shape. I hope this helps some. BTW, I was very thin 8 years ago too and lifted for years.
@75avier224 You can do both workouts right after each other as long as you feel you have the energy to. I don't see any problems with that. The reason they probably split it up is to ensure you have the energy to do both in one day.
Man that is really impressive, I'm only 15 and im far from fat but i didnt have the body i wanted, i just finished phase 1 and the results are already showing, Ive stayed away from any unhealthy foods and have followed the diet, but i havent gotten any supplements, but i hope i can get results like yours, you really brought it
@TheBored1234321 Thanks a lot man. Keep it up, diet is definitely 80% of the progress. I wouldn't worry about the supplements too much. As long as you're seeing results is all that matters. I'm sure you'll get the results you'll want.
@jrodriguez9446 I did not do anything extra for the abs. Even I had a little fat still on the lower abs but it's a factor of your overall body fat %. As you lose more fat, it'll get smaller but will probably be the place you'll see the most fat relative to everywhere else.
@jrodriguez9446 In order to spread my protein intake, I took my protein in the morning and recovery right after workout. Recovery has protein in itself. I didn't always take recovery, only on the days I knew I would be sore the following day (i.e. plyo). On the days I didn't take recovery, I would save the protein until after workout.
@75avier224 Yes you should have a pull up bar and dumbbells . Im fine without the resistance bands but then again i have adjustable dumbbells . Im on day 12 and lost 7lbs already and feeling really good.
@75avier224 That's all you need. If you have different weight dumbbells (3 sets), you should be good. Make sure your pullup bar has a wide-grip position too. No resistance bands needed.
@crazypete3 Yes, I am so much happier now. I think I had become content with myself before P90X. I thought I was happy but it's not until something like this changes how you feel so dramatically that you look back and say "Wow, I wasn't that happy but I thought I was in that moment". Bad analogy but it's like a toothbrush, you never feel the difference in performance as the days go by until you change to a new one. Then you're like, "The old was was really worn!" =)
@enginerd350z I am on day 2, just got done with plyometrics xDDD! it hurts but it will hurt worse tomorrow =P but yeah I cannot wait to feel that feeling of being healthy. I have heard from you and other on places like tv shows about how it makes you feel so much more alive. So I am extremely happy =P
@crazypete3 Keep up the hardwork. Plyo is the hardest routine. If you can get through it, you'll be able to succeed. Let me know how you feel in 88 days =)
Great Transformation....just a question about the creatine if you can please reply.Did you start taking creatine since the first day? im about to finish 4th week and wondering if i should start .thanks very much
@34ror34 Yes, I took creatine since the beginning. It's not too late to start although I recommend loading up on the 1st five days to help your body get saturated faster. Search for creatine loading and it will tell you what you need to do.
You want to try 'mutant mass' I gained 6lbs of beef in 6 weeks.... I went from 12st 6lbs to 13st and my bench went from 100 kg to 120 kg.... I was getting 1060 cals extra a day using 'mutant mass'
Is the recovery drink important? Did you take it? Sometimes when I am done with my workout, the next day I'm still really sore and I feel like I haven't really recovered but I still have to do that day of workout.

ToKsxxxRush 8 months ago
@ToKsxxxRush Thank you. Supplements help but IMO, the diet is the most important factor. If you can do that and the workouts, I think you'll see great results.

Did you take Creatine and Whey protein?
LetsGetWilly 8 months ago
@LetsGetWilly Yes, I took both creatine and whey protein.
enginerd350z 8 months ago
Can you tell me exactly what you ate because im confused on how u wrote it at the end. Did you eat all that in one day?
BrianAlexMusic 8 months ago
@BrianAlexMusic Brian, I did eat all that in one day. For breakfast I had oatmeal, for lunch chicken breast and vegetables, and for dinner chicken breast and vegetables. Everything else were snacks I had throughout the day or supplemental snacks during lunch. That's how I prevented myself from getting hungry throughout the day. I had 10am and 3pm snack times. Hope this helps.

@enginerd350z Thank you it helped alot.

Best. video. ever period. But, what I 'm gonna is: take P90X with Force Factor instead of the P90X supplements. I think that would build more muscle, but would shred less fat. But nevertheless, I'm going to follow the diet 100% of the time, so losing fat shouldn't be a serious problem.

What if I'm super skinny? Like you see me in profile and I look like a few stacks of paper. Will I get like you or still be skinny how I am?
TerrenceAnimation 9 months ago
@TerrenceAnimation I would recommend against P90X. In my opinion, P90X is good for shredding fat and maintaining muscle. However, for someone who is thin, your best course of action is to lift weights and maintain a healthy high calorie , high protein, medium carb diet. Put on some muscle before you trim up. If you do P90x now, you will end up leaner but won't have the muscle mass for the "athletic" shape. I hope this helps some. BTW, I was very thin 8 years ago too and lifted for years.
enginerd350z 9 months ago
@enginerd350z Thanks, I just gotta lift and eat healthy medium carb, high calorie, protein food. :)

if i'm starting doubles now which means there's cardio x, can i just do my normal workout then cardio x right after?
it says that i have to do cardio in the morning and my other workout in the afternoon but i can't do that because i have school. what should i do?
75avier224 9 months ago
@75avier224 You can do both workouts right after each other as long as you feel you have the energy to. I don't see any problems with that. The reason they probably split it up is to ensure you have the energy to do both in one day.
enginerd350z 9 months ago
Man that is really impressive, I'm only 15 and im far from fat but i didnt have the body i wanted, i just finished phase 1 and the results are already showing, Ive stayed away from any unhealthy foods and have followed the diet, but i havent gotten any supplements, but i hope i can get results like yours, you really brought it
TheBored1234321 10 months ago
@TheBored1234321 Thanks a lot man. Keep it up, diet is definitely 80% of the progress. I wouldn't worry about the supplements too much. As long as you're seeing results is all that matters. I'm sure you'll get the results you'll want.

@theyansterr I lost weight.
enginerd350z 10 months ago
did you do any extra workout or something for abs? i lost some weight but i'm having trouble with the little bit of fat on my lower abs
jrodriguez9446 11 months ago
@jrodriguez9446 I did not do anything extra for the abs. Even I had a little fat still on the lower abs but it's a factor of your overall body fat %. As you lose more fat, it'll get smaller but will probably be the place you'll see the most fat relative to everywhere else.
enginerd350z 11 months ago
when did you take the recovery drink vs the protein?
jrodriguez9446 11 months ago
@jrodriguez9446 In order to spread my protein intake, I took my protein in the morning and recovery right after workout. Recovery has protein in itself. I didn't always take recovery, only on the days I knew I would be sore the following day (i.e. plyo). On the days I didn't take recovery, I would save the protein until after workout.
enginerd350z 11 months ago
so basically the only workout equipments i'll need are dumbbells and a pull-up bar?
do i also need a resistance band?
75avier224 11 months ago
@75avier224 Yes you should have a pull up bar and dumbbells . Im fine without the resistance bands but then again i have adjustable dumbbells . Im on day 12 and lost 7lbs already and feeling really good.
ONLY1SUMMIT 11 months ago
@ONLY1SUMMIT ok thanks
75avier224 11 months ago
@75avier224 That's all you need. If you have different weight dumbbells (3 sets), you should be good. Make sure your pullup bar has a wide-grip position too. No resistance bands needed.

Does your mood feel better when your fit now then when you are not fit?
crazypete3 11 months ago
@crazypete3 Yes, I am so much happier now. I think I had become content with myself before P90X. I thought I was happy but it's not until something like this changes how you feel so dramatically that you look back and say "Wow, I wasn't that happy but I thought I was in that moment". Bad analogy but it's like a toothbrush, you never feel the difference in performance as the days go by until you change to a new one. Then you're like, "The old was was really worn!" =)
enginerd350z 11 months ago
@enginerd350z I am on day 2, just got done with plyometrics xDDD! it hurts but it will hurt worse tomorrow =P but yeah I cannot wait to feel that feeling of being healthy. I have heard from you and other on places like tv shows about how it makes you feel so much more alive. So I am extremely happy =P
crazypete3 11 months ago
@crazypete3 Keep up the hardwork. Plyo is the hardest routine. If you can get through it, you'll be able to succeed. Let me know how you feel in 88 days =)

Hi there just had another question for you. After my workout I drink creatine, how long should I wait to drink my whey protien?
Thanks
kainate559 1 year ago
@kainate559 In theory you should drink protein within an hour before and after your workout.
enginerd350z 1 year ago
Great Transformation....just a question about the creatine if you can please reply.Did you start taking creatine since the first day? im about to finish 4th week and wondering if i should start .thanks very much
34ror34 1 year ago
@34ror34 Yes, I took creatine since the beginning. It's not too late to start although I recommend loading up on the 1st five days to help your body get saturated faster. Search for creatine loading and it will tell you what you need to do.

How often did you drink your protien shake or better yet when did you drink your protien drink?
Please reply thanks

@kainate559 I drank it in the morning for breakfast with my milk. Ideally it is best to drink it an hour before and/or after workout.

Is the recovery drink important? Did you take it? Sometimes when I am done with my workout, the next day I'm still really sore and I feel like I haven't really recovered but I still have to do that day of workout.
Thanks
