  • IF IT WERENT FOR FUCKING YOKO OHNO THEY PROBS NEVER WOULD HAVE BROKEN UP

  • They just got sick of playing together.

  • Yoko was the extra pressure that broke them up in a harder manner than they would have otherwise. If you know Yoko's history you can't deny she was always conniving. Once she hooked John and she was his "next big thing" of course he wanted her around. And the other 3 certainly resented that. At the most I see they would have taken time off from each other, done some solo stuff and then reformed. Even WITH the way it happend they almost did around the time of "Venus and Mars" but Yoko blocked it.

  • DON"T SEND ME ANY MORE FAN MAIL!

  • Living proof that "Yoko" didn't break up the Beatles. They all wanted out.

  • @AnnieKCleary

yeah becaus of Yoko got in

    haha

  • @ThombaArtz Then why don't you watch an interview with George, then a one with Paul clearly saying, "Yoko didn't break us up." Dear God, I hope you're not older than me.

  • @AnnieKCleary First off, I dont mean disrespect to you in anykind of way.

Now then, like they willl ever admid that Yoko skrewd the world out of what could have been adleast ten years of Beatle music... Instead of listnin to what people say perhaps it would open you mind if you listen to the behaviour that is acompanied with it, For example that interview with Lennon and Yoko when they are talking about how they fell in love... If that does not show you why nothing will... xcuse my bad gramma

  • @ThombaArtz If it hadn't been for Yoko, they could have probably stayed together another few months...time to squeeze out a few more songs, perhaps, but only songs we heard in their solo careers anyway. There were so many other things tearing them apart that they just didn't enjoy working with each other anymore.

The real tragedy was Lennon's death, because if it hadn't been for that, they might have made more music together one day, after they cooled off and worked out a better way to do it.

  • @AnnieKCleary: Clearly he's being overly kind. He and Paul did not want the breakup, though the situation became intolerable even for Paul who had worked the hardest to keep the group together. John wanted the breakup, or so he thought in the moment; and George was pretty fed-up, though he probably could have been convinced to stay if it were less acrimonious and he were offered a more equal stake in the band. As for Yoko, her constant presence was at the insistence of John.

  • @aarfeld Exactly, which is not her fault, she wasn't controlling, John wanted her there. That's what made him happy. Sure it could've been annoying, but there's no way that ONE little thing would break up the beatles.

  • @AnnieKCleary they wanted out cause Lennon started acting like a dick and he was the life blood of the beatles

  • @takeonecomedygroup Oh please. They were all being petty with each other. I don't have to send you the links to all the interviews saying that they were all gettin tired of each other. Yes, Paul didnt want to split, & Ringo was probably very chill & just let everything go with the flow. But you know John's not gonna just sit there & be quiet. He's outspoken & he tells it like it is. & George got to a point where he started insulting Yoko to her face & John almost punched him.

  • @AnnieKCleary : Maybe if Yoko would have stayed out of the studio and not creating so much tension they would have been able to keep on for a while longer. That bitch sure didn't help matters any. She broke up John and Cynthia and the Beatles were the next domino to tumble.

  • @pmoyer50 John WANTED her in the studio. In an interview Cynthia said that it was already over before Yoko, just not official. And again, they all wanted out of the Beatles. And since you are a bitter beatles fan and can't except what they wanted, you use Yoko as a scapegoat.

  • @AnnieKCleary You are correct. John was entranced with Yoko so that makes all the difference. I never liked Yoko. Real Love the way the Beatles recorded it was better than the Lennon version. Fab Four is still very rich musically, and I hope relevant.

  • Ringo is a master of understatement - he know knows what 'not' to play

  • 0:25 he sat in the octopus's garden

  • doode 'In The End' come on noww!

  • Turns out that Ringo was a very good drummer. Kept great time and review the songs "All My Loving, No Reply, A Day in the Life." Very good licks.

  • @rolling, Ringo had more talent than u give him credit for

  • can someone tell me who became the most successful after the break up?

  • @umakemyday2020 Yoko.

  • @RollingOrmond besides yoko?

  • @umakemyday2020 Mark David Chapman.

  • Comment removed

  • @RollingOrmond besides mark david chapman?

  • @umakemyday2020 Xbox Rock Band.

  • @RollingOrmond besides xbox?

  • @umakemyday2020 Alvin and the hipmunks

  • @RollingOrmond hipmunks? besides them?

  • AAAAAAAAHHHHHNDDD ERM....

  • Lynn, if you're reading this, WELL DONE !! Without knowing it, you made a classic here. Thanks.

  • Ringo you lucky fool. You got rich cause you are not pretty and you have rythm. You got to follow the coattails of three geniuses. You must count your lucky stars every day.

  • @21farenheit Yeah, Ringo was this close to being a liverpool convenience store cashier without the others. Thank them stars.

  • What is it with these sunglasses?

  • I LOVE YOU RINGO!! <3

  • Ringo drives a Yellow Submarine

  • ringo kinda looks like gadafi

  • When I was young, this man narrated the best kids programme, Thomas the Tank Engine, unlike the most of the programs today, they had an important message or value to them. and his voice is mesmerising. Very talented man indeed.

  • @3rdKray Wait a second, that was Ringo that narrated that show?? I LOVED THAT SHOW!!!! and now I love it even more...,

  • hmm...the beatles broke up.....brb, gonna get my 3 friends, guitar lessons and some beatles' sheet music......

  • @Toledo540 lol. I started a band, the only issue is I've only got two solid members (me on rhythm, and my friend on bass/piano) and none of the other people know who the Beatles are. I keep on trying to get us to play Beatles songs but we are so un-coordinated, and they don't seem to be interested. I think we're just about ready to break up lol.

  • Ringo, I really wish you wouldn't where sunglasses. You have the nicest eyes:)

  • ringo is the most innocent one on lennons death. mcartney, yoko, and a little of george harrison scince george wouldn't be quiet on the beatles break up. these three personally can go fuck themselves

  • Ringo is hawt ! :D

  • bullcrap. It was yoko. everyone knows that. the end

  • @1410kitty Here is the real reason they broke up: Paul wanted the last slice of pizza but John who had bought the pizza would not let him have it. George wanted pepperoni on his slice but didn't get it. Ringo was given only one slice so they argued about it and broke up....lol They even took each other to court over who should pay for the tab on the account. That's the truth and you won't find this anywhere else....lol

  • @jpsmart59 That's not what happened at all. They were all at Ringo's house one day and Ringo left a pot of chicken noodle soup on the stove. John walked into the kitchen and said "I'm eating the soup". Paul was in the other room and thought he said "I'm leaving the group". Paul said "Well, if he's leaving, I'm leaving". Then they all sued each other. There was a mix-up somehow with the paperwork and they all accidently sued themselves.

  • @1410kitty bullshit on you! What would JL say?

  • @1410kitty I Like what John said about that. "If Yoko gets blamed for the breakup of the beatles, can she please have the credit for the great music they all made as individuals after?" Yoko didn't break up the Beatles, anymore than Linda did.

  • @Mozart1220 Very true she didn't break them up, certainly she shouldn't get credit for music but doesn't mean beatles or anyone likes her. Very annoying person just as herself

  • @username6510 John Lennon loved her. Let's respect that.

  • @Mozart1220 I would if it were certainly true, but there are so many credible stories that there marriage was at an end by 1980 and were likely to divorce, i'm not talking about May pang type thing in 1975, but genuinely about to split up but Yoko held it off due to her "astrology" saying it's not the right time. I don't know the whole thing but Love is no precedent over logic that she was an idiot

  • @username6510 I'll take what Lennon said over the Enquirer.

  • @Mozart1220 didn't read it from the enquirer. read it from a load of other sources, regardless it is hard to really know but love for someone doesn't therefore nullify Yoko from being called an idiot as i've said, she believes in astrology.

  • @username6510 It must be easy knowing your wife isn't subject to the scrutiny of millions. (assuming you have one)

  • @Mozart1220 Even if i had one (younger than you think but not that young) scrutiny is everywhere, but scrutiny or atleast deserved scrutiny came from her screeching her views not from simply being there, no one sane thinks she is stupid because "she broke da beetls up" her "avant garde" noise and is why. And besides age old thing of if you become famous expect this. The fact is she is in the limelight, so i'm more likely to hear her absurd views than someone equally absurd but not famous

  • I love his scarf.=3

  • Ringo is the worst Beatles

  • @alvarosaldanha Oh come on,there is no such as a worst Beatle, they all contributed in a way and the 4's sinchrony made them the greatest band ever.Yeah yeah,I know they had their fights towards the 70's.I say, blame it on Yoko.

  • I would have thought Paul would have wanted the Beatles to continue, perhaps after a brief period apart to do solo projects. Isn't the demise of the Beatles the reason why Paul was so depressed and down during that period. Surely John, and more surely George, was glad to see the band disolve. The Beatles breakup also gave Ringo a chance to step out into the spotlight more. He became a singer with entire albums of songs instead of primarily a drummer that received ONE token, showcase track per LP

  • is he gay??

  • @FuryMaNiiAcZz what makes you say that?

  • Richard starkey rulz

  • we miss you John and George.

I saw you standing there, join the vid on andyoutupe's profile

  • RINGO STARR is a silly name, he should have kept his name richard starkey

  • @matchbox555 He did keep his real name. "Ringo Starr" is only a stage name.

  • @matchbox555

matchbox555 is a more silly name.

  • @John91040 Ringo sang a beatle song called matchbox, so hes still sillier

    watch?v=20NEQUZ4DCw

  • @matchbox555

    And? Carl Perkins' Song

  • @gnossticc You might say that he "acts naturally."

  • @AdairSinclair I see what you did there

  • You HAVE to admire Ringo's simplicity and sincerity!

  • i can only think of the ducks from the courage the cowardly dog episode when ringo talks

  • The one in the band who never spoke turns out to be the most articulate +_+

  • Ringo does it for me... Just saying

  • iieeaand

  • @gnossticc all due respect but a circus monkey could do what Ringo did. He won the lotto by another drummer not cutting it and being a shoe-in. Again, all due respect, but he's not some brilliant musician.

  • @JustinCase10261 the Beatles admitted they heard him play one night and after he was done they asked him to join

  • @knightofjustic Actually he played with them in Hamburg on a number of occasions due to Pete Best's unreliability. All of this is in the Anthology, and many books too. They knew Ringo, and his drumming, very well.

  • @JustinCase10261 heavily disagree. If you removed Ringo's nuances, many songs would simply not be the same. Ringo has subtle technique that very few others have. Ask other drummers and they will agree.

While tempted to list many examples (nearly all of them), I'll list just a few - go listen to them:

    1 Bongo's & claves on "And I Lover Her"

    2 Tomorrow Never Knows

    3 I Feel Fine

    4 Ticket to Ride

    5 Glass Onion

    6 Rain

  • @myrtlebox You forgot She said she said, that's some awesome drumming *_*

  • @myrtlebox The drum rolls on "Sgt.Pepper" are pretty good too

  • I'm not going to call Ringo 'brilliant' out of hand because it's a meaningless descriptor. His playing is, whether you personally enjoy it or not, idiosyncratic. He has a particular way of doing it. If he didn't have any discernible individuality or talent on the instrument, then why are people still ripping him off? I can't tell you how many albums I've heard - recent ones! - where drummers still find the time to nick something he did.

  • Out of all the members of The Beatles, Ringo is my favourite! When i was younger I only thought of him as the man that did the narration for Thomas The Tank Engine :') but when I got older and got into music I realised he was from the best british band! I love how so childish I was about the Thomas thing :L

  • first of all... he looks insanely youthful for his age. second of all; why does he wear glasses inside?? and third of all.... i love him. Ringo is adorable still.

  • so different when no-one dared. we're free cos of them.

  • To be honest Ringo made some fine records, though I'm familiar only with the singles

  • how does he look so young?

  • @sublimepuravidamae he eats babies

  • @iloveyervideos He'll live to be 100

  • ringo found the fountain of youth :)

  • @xxxWabbitxxx95 Maybe if he found it when he was fifty...

  • Ringo looks like a Muppet.

  • for me....the killers are the beatles of the 21st century....lead singer put out an album (brandon and lennon)....the drummer put out a less successful album (ronnie and ringo).....the guitarist gave the solid facts (dave and paul) and then theres the mystery bassists (mark and george) :D

  • @Smallville357 You better check your facts as George was a guitarist and Paul was a bassist.

  • @GRude420

sorry....yeah. i posted it and read through it and was like "aw fuck....now everyones gonna think im an idiot" haha thats what i meant. sorry :\

  • @Smallville357 Well done......Paul is bass, and George is guitar, but both are very well known for what they have done, but where the fuck do you get off comparing the killers to the Beatles?

  • @Slash1626

just saying its sorta the passing of the torch...one band grows where another died :) not that the beatles could ever die :)

  • John speaks about the break up of The Beatles on a tv show while sitting with Yoko... the presenter rumoured that The Beatles split up because of Yoko... He strongly denied this like all the other times.. he simply said even if she play a part in the break up, she had gotten the best out of all the boys in which most of them launched a tremendous solo career - John's words not mine :D

  • Ringo can speak?? haha love and peace.

  • @Gernglish he sang a few songs

  • @Gernglish Nah,they added in a voice-over filling in his speeches

  • @iloveyervideos peace and love is good for ur health

  • Las cosas buenas duran poco tiempo, pero su esencia perdura por siempre.

  • Careful research shows the reasons: When Brian Epstein passed, John knew they were screwed. The eventual replacement manager, Allen Klein, amongst other things, embezzled. The whole misunderstanding of the "more popular" quote, and other things, got them to stop touring, and it is difficult to continue going as a studio- only band; tremendous animosities toward each other; Apple Corps becoming financially unstable. It was time to fold. Yoko had nothing whatsoever to do with the breakup.

  • @SeattleLA I agree, Brian was their rock. They ALL knew togethe-ness would go down-hill after his death. They started as a band who loved music. Hard work, but simplicity. Fame hit them suddenly. They admitted knowing nothing about the business world, counted on others, and got ripped-off. The pressure had to be awful. John needed a strong woman..Ono 'suddenly' appears out of nowhere. Read about her other lovers, prior to John, their lines of work. Then form an opinion about her. Toni

  • Off all the interviews of Ex Beatles I have watehed.....It isnt just one thing that broke up the Beatles....It was a buch of things, they were just growing apart, all amazing tallents that wanted to take their talents further creativly and go their own way.....Brian Epstiens passing was a major blow to them, and YES FOLKS Paul did try to take over, and that did not sit well with the other Beatles. I have heard more then one Beatle say that in interviews.....None of us will know all reasons.

  • why did they have to break up?? why? why? :(

  • @MyLuckyNumber100 Try to live with 3-4 other guys-who are not your relatives-for 20 years. These guys lived a cloistered life from 1961-1971. They couldn't go for a walk, go shopping, go to McDonalds, Nothing, without being mobbed. They got sick of it, and who can blame them. From 65-71 they worked only in studios. 6 years of being with the same people in 2-3 rooms. They hadn't grown as writers and individual performers. They wanted to stretch out. IT WAS NEVER YOKO ONO'S FAULT.

  • @WeedandShit1

FINALLY! someone who agrees with me! Everyone else argues and says no, Paul was a selfish man and he was to bossy and crap like that(which he TOTALLY ISN'T)...thank you! Haha

  • The Beatles' old manager, Brian Epstein had died of over-dose, sometimes around 67" (?). The guys were trying to manage the business side for themselves, especially from Paul, which created tension between him and John. They begin not to agree and not to really want to practice together, ect..

  • lol after the beatles ringo did a voice on thomas the tank engine, awesome sccess right there( i am not dissing him dont worry)

  • woah, ringo hasnt aged one bit!

  • WHY WHY WHY WHY?!?!?!

  • Its like he barely ages!

  • most boring man.

  • The truth is that mostly Paul McCartney broke up The Beatles. After they stopped touring George was the first to say "I'm done" and everyone but Paul wanted to stay. So like always Paul became a bigger control freak and drove them all mad. Yoko came along and made things worst.

  • His voice is my favourite of all time, especially growing up listening to him narrate thomas the tank engine

  • I like his scarf.

  • It's a good thing they broke up. Otherwise, the only way was down. They broke up before their music went bad, and it was about to go bad.

  • @SoundsofRuneScape about to go bad? how so? i don't think there is any clear indication that it was about to go bad actually, both abbey road and let it be were solid albums.

  • @unfortunatebeam Alas, you fail to understand that while those two albums were very good the Beatles argued throughout their production.

  • @SoundsofRuneScape The music probably would have stayed good. More likely they would have ended up strangling each other. John and George particularly were just over it. It's good to go out on top anyway. Always leave them wanting more.

  • ''oh, well what do i do now?'' just as lennon had many famous quotes that should be one of ringo's.

  • He's aged extremely well. But why does he ALWAYS wear sunglasses? I don't think his eyes have been seen in public since the 70's.

  • Funny fact, Ringo here had the first #1 solo hit after the breakup with "it dont come easy"

  • They basically outgrew each other then.Rumour is they were going to get back together again before Lennon died. What a shame. If Lennon had been alive you would have def seen the Beatles maybe even today doing tours.

  • @Pulpedtoafiction31 dude either way george got cancer! there couldnt of been a reunion, even if john wasnt killed.

  • are there any pics or videos of ringo now but without glasses?

  • 41 years ago today :(

  • haha ringo's become a stylish bastard, he used to be the unfashionable beatle

  • @PrisonBreakFilms

    call that stylish? xD

  • @sebasgv why, you don't think so?

  • @PrisonBreakFilms

That is the problem, with that poor styling i completely miss why you would compliment him on that

  • @sebasgv it's fucking great styling, I doubt you'll find many 70 year olds who look like him

  • 誰のせいでもありゃしねえ。みんな大人になっちまったんだね。

  • I ask everyone of you ono lovers WHY is she still out there TRYING to get attention for HERSELF is she not JAPENESE yes she is WELL how come there has been a horrible tragedy in JAPAN meaning the EARTHQUAKE & she ain,t in the news for that BECAUSE it,s all about her

  • The Beatles imploded. Yoko didn't cause the break up. Linda didn't cause the break up. It just got to be too much for them to carry on as The Beatles. This is well documented. The fact is, when they weren't fighting with each other, or walking out of sessions, they made the best music ever. it just got harder for them to be "The Beatles" full time.

  • @GonzoGuyy Absolutely right, Gonzo. They revolutionised popular music then ran out of steam. They left us with a great treasure -- their music -- and I'm glad of it.

  • @KaptKan1 I agree. Anyone that has really followed the Beatles knows there were many many impromptu meetings and jam sessions.

IF popular culture can be believed they actually were going to do Saturday Night Live. All four of them were in New York, and thought it would be a good bit of fun. Either John's driver got lost, or they didn't know the show was taped live. I think all four Beatles, and many cast members, and Lorne Greene agree on this being true.

  • It was the fat controllers fault

  • @robotfreshpies hahaha!

  • HAAA keep pressing 7

  • 1:40 to 1:42 But Ringo, still not more successful than every Beatles album now is it

  • Okay for all the morons saying "he is so ugly" and "he used to look better back then" WTH did you expect?! Everyone in time GETS OLD and don't look so young and gorgeous anymore. Not everyone is Jorge Ramos or Madonna! So STFU and LOVE THE MAN who is from the band that is a MADE A MUSIC LEGEND!

  • @TheBlueBeatle3 Well said and "Amen"!

  • ringo is ugly now. he used to look better

  • Wow he looks so different from when back in the day

  • Beatles seemed to be full of it. They could have lasted forever had they chose to. Look at the Stones. Or Rush. Inflated egos reigned supreme in Beatles Country.

  • @shitmandood you act like them breaking up was a crime. they wanted to break up so they did, whats wrong with that?

  • @TonyPizzaro They could have just taken a break! Look at what was produced afterwards? Crap. Just crap.

  • @shitmandood they took a break for 4 years... they broke up because they had their own interests outside of the group. and as far as i know every one of them was happier being solo whether they made crap or not, which they didnt... imagine is rated #3 in "greatest songs of all time", better than any beatles song.

  • @TonyPizzaro Maybe in the court of popular culture. Have you seen The Killing of John Lennon? It raised a good question: how can a man that sings "Imagine no possessions" own so much stuff?? O the hypocrisy.

  • @shitmandood

I don't think John wrote that song as an anthem putting himself above everyone else. I think it was more of a statement on the way the world works. And we are all a part of that world whether we think it's right or not.

  • @shitmandood

the point is they didn't care if people thought it was crap. They wanted to pursue other musical ideas, not the money they could make.

  • In 1965:

Ringo: "Hey lads, I wrote a song!"

John: "Oh, thats great Ringo. We're gonna put it right here. Right here on the refridgerator so we can look at it every day."

    Ringo: "COOL!"

  • I dislike how he says "and."

  • As I understand it in order to stop Allen Klein, the infamous manager they had, getting ownership of the Beatles' back catalogue and all the income from record sales from then on, Paul had to sue the other three members of the band. This way the business side of things would be broken up in such a way that Klein couldn't get his hands on it. So there was even more bad feeling following Paul suing the others. John initially liked Alan Klein but hated him later, Paul hated him from day one.
