o AND BEFORE YOU SAY THE CONTEXT IS WRONG AND NAIK'S IS RIGHT.. TRY READING THE SECTION THE REFERENCES ARE TAKEN FROM. Whenever a prophecy is made like in the Puranas.... it is clearly worded as a prophecy. When a special person or being is mentioned the context is unequivocal. Rig Veda and any other hindu scripture is no exception. NAIK IS A PRICK.

Rig Veda, Book 2, Hym No 3, Verse No.2 - section devoted to Fire-God Agni - "May Narashamsa lighting up the chambers, bright in His majesty through threefold heaven, steeping the gift with oil-diffusing purpose bedew the Gods at chiefest time of worship."... Prick Naik states that Narashamsa refers to the Prophet.....If thats true then....this means that the hym is asking Muhammad to appease the Gods. This goes against Islam..

Rig Veda Book No Book 1 Hym53, verse No.9 states "With all out-stripping chariot wheel O Indra (God of Heaven, War and Rain), thou far-famed hath overthrown the twice ten kings of men, with 60, 990 followers, who came to fight with friendless susravas"..... Zaik states that sushrama means "one who praises"... thus referring to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Does the aforementioned verse refer to your prophet? If it does then you by your own admission are now a non-muslim. This is why Naik is a prick.

I don't understand how people can critisise and say the guy is talking rubbish. Did you not listen to just a few examples of science in the Qur'an that non of us can say are un-true. Can't you just stop and think, how is it possible that these things were written in a book 1400 years ago. 1000 years before we discovered most of these things? I learn more about Islam on the internet than some of these so-called imams in the UK. The issue is Imams coming from abroad have trouble connecting properly with UK born and bred muslims. Zakir Naik is just a book-smart person who studied hard and got a doctorate all while holding a theological perspective on life rather than a logical/scientific one.

He skews the truth and puts one-sided arguments to a room full of uneducated people (indians)--the people sitting in oxford probably weren't convinced...

Naik says that people learned astronomy from the quran--thats backwards;Eratosthenes found it centuries earlier.

Amazing was to listen Mr Zakir Naik condemning the black sheep in Islam? He denied all he said on different media about capital punishment for apostates equating those who leave Islam as traitors. Once he publicly glorified the late terrorist Osama. Put the blames on the media. He played a fantastic magic show. Dr. Zakir Naik is a fake, fraudulent and misleading "scholar". I have at least 20 examples of where he has manipulated, quoted out of context and lied about issues relating to the Hindu religion. He is a disgrace and I hope they hold a talk with Hindu Oxvridge students and faculty about "similiarities between Hindusim and Islam".. They should CHECK EACH and every reference he uses in line with what he claims the context to be. EVERY MUSLIM SHOULD CHECK THIS before replying.
