Huh, surprised you got full HQ credit for getting the key out of the painting. Seems to me that, since you used the light on the key-less painting beforehand, the game would demean you for not thinking of switching the paintings before bringing in the light.
It's probably because it was already set over there.
Then again, it more likely comes down to whoever designed the stage. Dragon Scales, for instance, is merciless in its awarding of HirameQ. This one was a lot more lenient. (Though there was still no way for me to know that Zack couldn't fll down the hole holding the fragment.)
You sort of did make like Shaggy and poked the poor old man's eyes. Anyways..was there anyway to die on this stage? Seems like a stage of guess-and-check to me.
As far as I can tell, no. There isn't even a time when there's no way to pass. As far as ability tof ail this mission goes, it's zero. But solving it is complicated.
@RoyalCobalt Actually, you'll fail if you take the gold fragment in the gluppy picture without draining the water (Gluppy Bites Zack and takes him through the painting).
@TheShroom220 Yeah, I found that out later watching a montage video of the different deaths in this game. The person who compiled them didn't realize this was here until after he had finished and had to make a second video with Zack deaths he missed.
i hate it when i think i can get back down from the door, but ending up sticking my hand right through the picture.

Lol. The old man in the picture got poked by the broom repeatedly and showed Zack a piece of his mind by making him fall through a trap door.

If you put it that way, that's interesting to think about.
He always pulls the rope when Zack walks over it until you incapacitate him.
