I think he didn't actually say there were monkeys walking around the streets......he actually said he would like to go into the rain forest, which means the Amazon to them(and there are lots of monkeys there).......but you're right about saying most people in US have a wrong take on Brazil...please don't get me wrong....thx.

i agree, radiohead was and IS right, interpol should join in and i think release a future album on thier own like how radiohead did. its a shame how a great band like interpol gets treated like shit from the lables.

I totally agree with you! I never saw the comparison to Joy Division. I think, it's an honour to be compared to such a great band, but it's a fact, that Interpol make such individual and unique music that is incomparable. OLTA is a masterpiece, insofar Carlos is right. I have high hopes for their future albums, and I can't wait!

Selling half of what they did with antics and bright lights doesn't mean that the recent album is of a lower quality. In my opinion quite the opposite. Olta is a record that you either have 'access' to or not. If not, it might be an uninteresting record, but if there's the capacity to embrace what it is, 'access' as I'd like to say, then... well it's a beautiful incomparable piece of, I believe, hard work. And pleasure to my ears and soul! No need to hug monkeys, Sam... instead I'll hug you LOL!
