Robert Trujillo just is not even close to being in Cliff Burton's league.

That's not really a knock on Trujillo as much as it is the recognition that Burton was nothing short of amazing on the bass guitar. He could have gone down as the best of all time.

So naturally, Rob would become better in the long run. It's quite silly, comparing an 80s Cliff, to a present day Rob. Rob had A LOT of time to improve and exceed Cliff. ._.

What is the point in people saying that over every single bass player. "hes shit because he isnt cliff." Cliffs dead, he aint comin back, so you just have to deal with it. Skill wise, robb is probably a lot better than cliff, the only reason people prefer cliff is because he was the original.
