I mean, I'm a guitarist, and I play the intro of this song, but then I have to reach down into my amp to change the settings to "metal" to play the intro riff, and the rest of the song.
im guessing you have a line 6 amp? anyway you need to have a foot pedal/multi effects pedal. I have a Zoom G2. you click the buttons with your foot and it changes the sound simutaneously
i have a amp and i want it sound heavy but some reason it doesnt the amp say's that it has an over drive but i still dont sound heavy i dont know how to make it sound like yours
iT'S funny becuase i realy dont know that much about the guitar the one i have is for starter and so is my amp but the amp has overdrive i guess thats 4 distortion?
ok if its a starter that's probably around the 100-250 price range its gonna be pretty hard to make it sound heavy without making it sound bad I can tell u that haha =P and usually something that has the name overdrive would mean its 4 distortion but check does it say like Line 6 or Fender or anything like that somewhere on the amp?
that's probably the model number =P and I don't know that model but best thing to do is to search it up on the internet and see its features and see wat people's review about it is
Im a beginner with the guitar, and im still wondering how to get that metal sound out of the bend, after the intro, some people say that u have to use a pedal, but i think theres another way of doing it, if you know, please let me know,.
The metal sound you are talking about can come from a Distortion Pedal or Amp. I use a Pedal but I also have an amp with loads of Distortion (Line 6 Spider II)
If you just started playing guitar then you most likely have a practice amp which will either have very little distortion or none at all.
I would recomend getting a cheap distortion pedal for about $100 to go straight from your amp set to a clean sound..or you can buy an amp will will probably cost easily over $300 for somthing decent.
Yeah I'll put that one on too some time. Idc what order i'll just put em on soon. The song ur talking about is this war is ours (guillotine part 2) right? Well it's got th esweeping for the intro.
My guitar is an ESP LTD H-50 pluged into a Line 6 Spider 2 15W Amp. I also have a Zoom G2 Distortion pedal which is what gave the sound I used in the video.
Got some skills there

i have a question
How do you switch from clean to distorted?
I mean, I'm a guitarist, and I play the intro of this song, but then I have to reach down into my amp to change the settings to "metal" to play the intro riff, and the rest of the song.
So how do you change?

Do it for sure.
Just make sure you have heavier guage strings on.
I would recomend nothing thicker than 10-48s
I have 10-52s and they suite me fine.
