I pulled over in front of a bus stop and Was waiting for someone when the bus driver came and was honking telling me to move but she had enough space to pick up the passengers and leave, so I told her no.and she said "fine don't move "can she do anything to me, like report me or something?
Also, Westchester County doesn't run the buses anymore. Post 2007, the MTA runs the Bee-Line. Why the hell do you think you can use MetroCards on there? The Bee-Line is really one of the best transit systems in NY, and you really shouldn't be dissing them like this without real experience. You and John should be targeting the MTA more, because they are the "lovely" transit company here...
@suzzex the MTA does NOT run bee-line. you live in westchester and you think the MTA runs it? the MTA has an agreement with westchester to let them take MetroCard. bee-line is owned by Westchester County and operated mainly by Liberty Lines. the MTA also does not have a no photo policy of any kind, and if they ran bee-line it would be operated by MTA Bus Operations and not a contractor. gee, i'm smarter than you on this and i don't live in westchester!!!!
They didn't do anything wrong... They do have an anti-photography policy, and they are allowed to do that for privacy reasons. HOWEVER, 90% of the time if you ask the bus driver permission, he/she will gladly grant it to you. I have been riding Bee-Line a hell of a lot longer than you, even before you were born. Throughout middle school, I was allowed to take COUNTLESS pictures since they were aware of my interest in the buses. They aren't wrong here, and notice how he didn't harass you.
@suzzex when you're not on the bus you're either on public or private property, both of which off of bee-line property. you can't say there's no photos on public property. if the MTA were to ban photos on buses/subways/whatever, they can't say you can't take a picture of a bus from a sidewalk. i was on stew leonard's property, and IDK what their photo rules are but mr. liberty lines can't tell me not to take pictures on it.
@ih8thyssenkrupp You're being a smartass, and you know it. People have every right to complain about their picture getting taken, just like you have every right to complain about no-photography policies.
@suzzex on public property? wow, you sound like connor carey! BTW stop accusing me of being the spammer. next step is the police because i'm sick and tired of the way i'm treated yet when i go talk to you or dan a. or anyone else like that the police call my home and harass my family.
Liberty Lines is notorously anal about photography. Suffolk Bus Corp is also pretty bad, they once told me to stop taking pictures of the pine barrens from their bus along route 51 in the middle of nowhere! And for a company that calls itself LIBERTY lines thats an EPIC FAIL. I would definately complain. Others have gotten DETAINED esp at the White Plains Transcenter.
