As far as I know, he played the song with this title for a while and then changed it to Cold Beer and Cigarettes before he released it on his EP. I think he might have put it out on a compilation under this title, quite a long time ago, as Pedro the Lion? Might be mistaken...
@ArlanCashier I find it so crazy that Vic Chesnutt and David Bazan were in a band together, albeit a short-lived live-only sorta deal. Both good artists (though I prefer Bazan), but they are certainly a strange match. I'm glad to say I've had the pleasure of seeing them both live (at the same venue, Lee's Palace in Toronto, about a month apart). Vic Chesnutt was a great artist and he'll be missed.
the mix is kinda weird, i dono if i like it.. interesting take on the song though. i love how he changes his songs a lot and finds different ways to perform them. this has to be the fourth or fifth distinctly different version of this song i have heard.
LOVE the harmonies that come out of nowhere at 2:50!

I really like the instrumentation here. the keyboard ads an amazing texture to the sound. Also the bridge was very well executed.
