  • Dude, really? Too many complainers out there. I like the stove, I made one like it myself because its fun. The vid is good the music is cool... way to go!

  • I liked it due to the use of the Music ,..Bruce Dickerson sings his guts out in whatever venue he graces. Thanks for the vid too was helpful in thoughtful creative, effecient?: got to see better results. hobo cookers using alcohol burning can boil water too. but the idea of natural fuel source was great.

  • Great Video and the music was fantastic

  • What is that river called I think I live right beside it

  • Cool video...Thanks for sharing......Who sings the song????....It rocks!

  • I like the idea it is awsome

  • Is that a Tatonka kettle?

  • so basically, you drilled the bottom of the can in several locations, and cut a triangle in the side of it ,and ran coat hanger wire for a grill, or am i missing some form of detail here cause you seem to have made the best one i have found on youtube unless i missing another design somewere...

  • nice job switch-

  • great stove.. gonna give it a try..

where did u get the song?? i love it but i cant get it anywhere?!! :(

  • I love the reversible idea! I have been fooling about with some hobo stoves for a little while now and I am getting ready to take ALL the good ideas I have found and put them into 1 ultimate stove idea. I will be incorporating your reverse heater.

for now i have a basic vid that i will put as a response.

  • Did someone say, it was new...?

  • @Switchblade61 Nice design. Im checking out all the dif ideas so I can make a cheap easy efficient SUPREME hobo stove for my Snow Shoe/hunting/canoe trips ect... thanks fopr posting. Digging the tunage. Who was the band?

  • @ydnarnosfatsug

Thank you! The band is Samson. (It's in the credits at the end of the clip)

  • Made one out of a 5L hene keg! Thats a sweet, heavy gauge piece of steel thats a great donor can for this stuff!

  • Very nice! I like the siimple design and it is a whole lot more efficient on fuel than a normal camp fore. I live in the desert, little water and very little wood to burn. Sweet little stove! 5/5

  • how long wud it take to cook a tin of baked beans or other tinned goods?

  • Probably less than boiling a pot of water. (see the info on the side)

  • i made my own hobo stove but i changed it a little n made it my own, i myt do a video to show you

  • I am looking forward to it!

  • ingenious!!!

I may be trying this one for myself!

    Thankyou!!!

  • folgers hibachi? good idea

  • Good mod of a J-Falk stove.

As with the wood gas stoves as well. The wider the can the better & more efficient burn you get.

The only side is the bulky-ness and it can get crushed rather easily .

  • who is the song by?

  • Samson - the russians are coming

  • Sweet. Great design!

  • Nice stove man..I used your design. Worked great. Am doing some mod's to it to try and make a rocket stove..

  • nice to see some fellow British Columbines on youtube!

    Nicely done

  • Cool! Great little stove!

    5 STARS & FAV

  • LOL i try this indoor set on the fire alarm LOL!

  • Oh realy i didnt think fires or a wood burning stove that makes smoke would set off a fire alarm =D

  • Haha...is there a patent pending?

  • looks like a good idea, thanks

  • A bit sooty of a fire, but I suppose if one were to switch to a hardwood such as maple or oak the temperatures would melt the can and tent pegs too easy. But thanks for the demonstration, it was entertaining.

  • Hi Switchblade! Whats the name of the pot , you using there?

    Thanx

  • It wasn't pot, man. It was Crack! LOL.

  • Great stove and great song bro.

  • Thanks for sharing, I'm getting some good info from Youtube.

  • o ya i love BC i live in BC great camping!

  • YOU GO SWITCHBLADE!

    LOVED YOUR VID!

  • Bello!!

Di chi è la colonna sonora?

    Ciao

  • Cool soundtrack. Stove looks pretty good too.

  • Cool stove switchblade

  • In the related videos it says "Joyyce's unasisted homebirth" like wtf does that have to do with camping lol.

  • The soot doesn't bother me too much, if you season the pot with olive oil (on the outside) and then let the soot cover it evenly a few times, your pot will have a nice, protective layer of black patina. But if someone wants to keep the soot off, just fold a layer of aluminum foil around the outside of the pot and remove it after use.

In any case, IMHO it's not that hard to clean the soot off after use, by utilizing some abrasives (like: sand,dirt,steelwool,etc..)then washing it off.

  • very cool - would be nice to find a way to keep the soot off of the pot - maybe leave the top on the coffee can?

  • How to get coffee out?

  • Open the top with a can-opener and then consume the coffee (or take it out). After that, you can start to make your camp stove...

    LOL

  • But he wants the top to stay on. How to get coffee out?

  • Cut your hole in teh side with the coffee still insdie .. and pour into a resealable container .. top and bottom stay on, and your fuel hole is made ... now make air vents and away you go.

  • A great way to easily remove soot is to coat your pot with dish detergent before you put it on the fire. Washes off easily after the big smoke.

  • great song!
