@james99144 Harry Potter couldn't be compared with anything there is out there. The Hunger Games trilogy is great, but it's just not Harry Potter. Rowling knows what she's doing when she writes, she doesn't put random names for the places and the characters and every word is so carefully chosen that there's hardly any mistake (there are some, but they're passable). The Hunger Games is just another great book. Harry Potter is a symbol of a generation.

The only reason Stephenie Meyer's opinion matters is because of how popular her books are with Young adult readers. For whatever reason, some teenagers like to read books about Bella and her Vampire Boyfriend. So they throw her quote in there to catch that group of readers' attention. The stephen king quote is obvious, because he is an amazing author. Any reader should have respect for him, in my opinion.
