Paco Pena to me is one of the most precise and melodic players of all. I saw him once live at the Marin Center in San Rafael, CA He was amazing and so was his singer and dancers.!!

saw him last year and seeming him next year in march.. he is still the greatest flamenco guitarist of all time. i've been to countless music shows and never seen such an inspiring performance, if any of you ever get a chance to see him perform with dancers it is phenomenal. you will never see anything like it

The capo does not really matter, for any barre with the hand produces the same effect.

That's only partly true. Compare the sound of your guitar if you bar at 3rd and play or if you capo at 3. Capo gives greater sustain and richer tone.

Yes Paco Peña is very good. I play all of this Bulerías but not as well as Paco of course.

I know its not in good taste to say,however I think Pena's traditional style compositions wipe the floor clean with De Lucias traditional pieces.He also delivers them much better with greater tone and gusto.His bulerias and soleas are superlative.

I prefer not to comment on the other guitarist that you mention but I do want to very much agree with what you have said about Paco Peña--Paco Peña is superlative!
