  • Can these products/ process be used on plastics?

  • I do sculptures made out of polystyrene and cover them (after I have put a protective layer in between) with fiberglass and polyester resin. The finishing I use is normally a 2 component primer and on top of I spray car paint.

I have always thought of doing a metal surface but given it up because of costs. Would your products work on my fiberglass / polyester base and if yes, which primer / metal application / patina type would I need to use? khs@mail.telepac.pt

  • @khs1952 Prime-it is a good surface prep for a variety of resin surfaces. Call us for more specific information.

  • Do you think this would work as a backsplash in the kitchen? What could I use for the clear coat?

  • @reedbabes Permalac or Smart coat 2K

  • would this finish be safe for a kitchen table? is it non-toxic?

  • Well, the Copper coating is water based so safety would be more an issue of the clear coat.

  • would this stuff work on fiberglass or resin casts?

  • Yes. Just clean and primer the part first.

  • hahaha what was that at 3:56

  • Yes indeed, you are observant. The power of teleportation.

  • I used the silver variant of this stuff with black wax for antiquing effect, and it looked gorgeous. No VOCs needed is especially nice.
