Due to very heavy overpopulation and resulting in foodshortages (witch the BLM is trying to contain by doing roundups) there is a very good chance that they aborted and had small foals. The one in the video looked strong and healty.

Where is the problem? A least mommy had food there, they have only been in holding for a week, how is it BLM's fault that the foals are tiny? Oh, because BLM didn't leave them in the wild to starve?

HATE THE BLM...sick heartless uncouth bastards with no welfare standards, just greedy MF's. Anyone who owns horses knows no to run em over hard rocky ground, their souls bruise, split hooves, break bones...u just don't do it. Running mares in foal that way is deathly...cruel bastards. Foaling in a pen like that can be deathly too, only takes horses to spook & foals are trampled, if theirs a stallion in with mare who didn't sire foal he could kill it as its not his own. IS THERE NO END IN SIGHT?

How do you feel that the BLM are greedy, every horse actually costs them money, do you think they make money on them, with over 40,000 mustangs in long term holding that can't seem to find a home. why don't you try to foot the feed bill. I'm not bashing you, just try to see things from the other side too.

I can name call because everything I SEE the BLM do is wrong, running horses some pregnant over harsh ground, footage of helicopters actually hitting horses, many in the pens are lame, stallions fighting because the BLM have mixed family groups in pens, scared horses trying to jump the pens...want me to go on? I've had horses all my life & WHAT I SEE IS WRONG!!!

This is so very sad. I hope everyone read's David Martin Anderson's latest novel, THE LAST GOOD HORSE, which just got released (available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble). The plot is set in 1939 Montana and has to do with the slaughter of the last great mustang herds. Great story! Also, check out the author interview on YouTube (search by the author's full name).
