Here's a lil history lesson for you bro.. When British forces withdrew the Princely state of Kashmir was invaded by Pashtun tribals from the North West Frontier Province (NWFP).

Fearing that Hari Singh's forces would be unable to withstand the assault, the Maharaja asked for Indian military assistance. India set a condition that Kashmir must accede to India for it to receive assistance.
