I carry both ways. When I got out 99% of the time it's under my shirt and damn near impossible to see. But when I open carry say oh when I wear a polo then it's in the open and all can see it. Most people just assume I'm a cop in normal clothes. I wear clean clothes, clean shaved, nice haircut, I look like a good guy and act like one so MOST of the time cops don't bother me, they few times they have they only ask to see my ID and my state permit.
If law abiding citizens were granted ccw's equally across america, nobody would ever know except an unsuspecting criminal who may try to do great bodily harm or kill the person with the ccw. Those with ccw's do exactly what their supoposed to, conceal it! They're not parading around with these open carry's.
I agree with the rights of the open carriers, but I think they would be better off if they could conceal it. The magic word is "if". That's up to their local jurisdiction,
There was a parade? Damn, I missed it...
Seriously, your points are really off the mark. Where this picnic was held you CAN conceal with a license. These folks "choose" to carry not concealed, IE: OC
"but I think they would be better off if they could conceal it", I think what you meant to say was YOU would be better off. OC/CC is a choice, these folks can make their own decision, as can you, there is no "supposed to" about it.
So many people are scared of guns. Im not scared of guns, im scared of criminals who wield guns, knives, bats, and fists. But im mainly scared of a government who tries to control our lives. For these two reasons I own lots and lots of guns.
I wonder if he ever asked a law enforcement officer if they ever wonder if the gun will be taken out of their holsters. The type of holsters law enforcement officers use can also be owned by a citiizen. After knowing how to unlock them by studing them. You would know how to disarm an officer with great ease. However it's much easier to disarm using your own weapon. Whether it be a gun or a knife. From behind, everyone is defenseless including cops. Cops are even killed by their own sidearm.
The reporter appeared as if he came there to report the negative views of open carry. I guess that he was surprised to see civil adults that open carry and welcome him in their little BBQ.
Gun control should be outlawed. As soon as your sons/daughters are mature enough (mentally and physically) they should be taught how to use a firearm.

When he asked if someone got in the middle of the group and took a gun out of someones holster to do harm, I would have said, "He would have died!"
It was a dumb question in the first place. Who in their right mind would ever try such a suicidal act? I'ts "suicide by patriot!"

Right when they make the comment about folks moving to the watermelon, at 1:47, they show a black guy. That's so wrong!
