because it is a gas gun, and considering it uses a magazine with a gas reservoir as opposed to a full tank combined with the lack of a regulator, makes it have inconsistent shots.

What's the point in this? Like, testing to see how a gun you will never really use in any kind of actual situation fires. Shouldn't he be testing a real or paint ball gun? All this so he can point to something on a wall or in a box and say it shoots like that. ....waste of cash I think.

Do you have any idea what you are talking about? He will use the gun on the field while playing airsoft. He can point it a people on the opposing team. This gun is for MILSIM.

yea, thats what i was thinking. some sites have the fps at 330-350 with .2's and top gas. BS, this video shows how powerful this gun is. i was wondering also if you could dial down the fps, or you could just get a heavier BB. i dunno. anyone who can help would be thanked sincerely

Using a heavier bb DOES NOT reduce the guns power. It will reduce velocity, but not the amount of force. Its like throwing a wiffle ball and throwing a golf ball. Airsoft Buddy claims that WE is making a bolt that will downgrade the FPS and increase blow back. It doesn't work with duster/japaneese gas. A WE M4 owner told me that if you use duster, the WE will just vent all the gas out.

true, while you have less velocity, you have more mass hitting the target. Check M16 v AK47. M16 has way faster velocity, but AK47 has way more power due to more lead hitting the target.

Not to mention, with a heavier bb, it carries its momentum longer. Thats why a 400 fps AEG (w/ .2s) has more range with .3s than .2s. Try getting an AEG shooting 350 or so. Stand 100+ feet away, and get shot with .12s, .2s, .25s, and .3s. .3s will probably be felt the most.

funny you should mention that. With gas guns the velocity drops very little. So increasing to heavier bb just increases power ten fold. My We m4 chronos 510 with .2 (average over 20 shots) while it chronos 502 with .4s (again, average over 20 shots), so using a heavier bb does bugger all to fps - while kinetic energy increases by a factor of two!!!

You could use 134a gas, i'm guessing they are using green gas.

For me to be able to play outdoor, I need to be under 400 fps.

How does bouncing between 420 and 507 fps be described as being consistant? or is it on par with other GBB rifles?

It's marked as "consistant" because GBB rifles (like all GBB airsoft guns) are notoriously inconsistent. It entirely depends on a shot-by-shot basis because if it cools a little or one part of the gas is cold one shot might end up 100+/- FPS below the "average"

I would have thought that was obvious with the "or is it on par with other GBB rifles" comment. Been wanting a GBB rifle for ages but the external tanks of the Escort is a turn off and the host of costly problems with the WA was a non-starter. Whilst i wish it was something more interesting than a M4 (MP5, G3 or G36 would have been nice) I have always liked WE pistols and i've seen alot of positives about there first GBB rifle.
