First of all I want to say that dinosaurs didn't actually exist a billion years ago (sorry) more like 200 million to 65 million years ago and humans existed like 1.8 million years ago. Now... scientists know these things because they can find out how old the fossils they find are with the use of technology (I'm not a scientist so I don't know how it works) but I know it exists. If you find something of a million years ago it will be different than if you find something of a hundred years ago.
And what cave drawing shows a dinosaur/dragon? Cave drawings only show animals like mammoths and saber toothed tigers you know animals that were around when humans were.
