@ramirorc radio listening works only with the main vfo. The second vfo on the right side (subv-vfo) is only for transmit (tx for satelite, crossband etc.). On yaesu.com you can download the ft-847 manual. 73!
Ok! I also have a ft847. I noticed that in some bands like 10m, the reception is kin of poor without the RF AMP. I use a dipole antena only, but it worked very fine with my old FT901DM.
At the same time I also think that it is a very clear reception. Good audios. Any way, I am enjoying this radio a lot. I intend to operated in satelite mode but still need to leanr a lot more about. 73s

@lsantac no it's not normal, it was so programmed in the bandmemorys and I have it turned off. I use the FT-847 and alle the other devices from my TouTube channel not, there are only a small collection (a small museum) and the video clips shows only function (receiving) tests.
@Astrax1111 naja, mit einer digitalen Videocamera wäre es sicher besser. Die Videoaufnahme hab ich diesmal mit meinem Fotoapparat Fuji AX250 gemacht (Euro 39,90,-) und das Video ist durch die billige Optik im Makrobereich etwas gewölbt und der Videoton ist etwas asynchron.
Ich mochte das Video, sehr komplett und lehrreich. Ich frage mich, ob dass das Radiohören ist gleichzeitig in zwei VFO. 73! PW8RC.
