@FredNugent23 Powermad's Slaughterhouse. I worked at a theater when this came out, and fell in love with it. Had bought 5 copies of the soundtrack over the years and just found my CD of it! LOL
@batwingwashere Eraserhead is on Youtube. I don't know if you can access the video with regards to it being available in your country, but defo worth as try. :)
@bazzahtid86 All I can say is to keep an open mind. This came out in the "Twin Peaks" heyday, so you'll see some cast members in it. The first few minutes will just blow your mind.
i came across the book and for a weird reason googled it and i found some interesting piece of info ... aside from church making people read it ....apparently couple of years back mexcian drug cartel was making some of their hit mans red it ... something to do with them not having remorse and making it easier to kill and be more violent ... jajajaj
@Ashloomis well I know that Tarantino was/is a huuuge Lynch fan, but why do you say he got his style from this movie? I'm not trying to argue, I'm just curious, because I don't see the similarity really.
@Ashloomis 'glad to hear someone else finally say what i have been saying since '94 - '95. back then everyone was saying what a work of art pulp fiction was and comparing it to blue velvet. i said no it is pop art...like wild at heart. thank you.
It reminds me the days Cage still had a full had of hair; the days I still had poster of him hanging in my dorm; the days my dreaming boyfriend is like him in the movie
@charlesburns1993 Yeah, I know, but take away the really bizarre aspects of the film that Lynch is known for, and it kinda seems like something Tarantino would make. That's all I was getting at

You know, I've seen Lost Highway and Blue Velvet, I hated Lost Highway and Blue Velvet was alright, but so far I'm not too impressed with David Lynch's directing. The trailers look good, like a sophisticated 1940s crime, film-noir movie, but then once I watch them I am heavily disappointed and have to go watch Fight Club so I can watch something that doesn't ruin the value of movies for me.
I'm glad there's someone else that thinks like me. All I ever hear is praise for David Lynch's work, all I ever get is sleaze or a borefest. Or both. I've started many of his movies because the trailers tend to look good and not one have I actually been able to finish. x.x
@xTHExFALLx You just don't have open mind, that's all..DL's films have this specific feeling, which not everyone likes..Tarantino have brought a lot to his movies from Lynch..
@xTHExFALLx You don't like them cause you probably don't get them/don't get their feeling etc..Believe me, some time ago I didn't liked these movies ;) p.s. I'm also white xD
@xTHExFALLx completely agree. Twin Peaks was only work of his, that was somewhat possible to watch and even that one hardly. Hey, honestly, why do all roles in DL's movies seem like they are terribly retarded? It is phenomena of its kind for me, why work of DL is so overrated. Really, his work is: just some random stories put together w/o shortage of really wierd personas. phuh, boring to death.
@jbsvpmrn - The reason DL is held in such high esteem is because he's got a unique vision and is not afraid to use it. Some people find it tedious. Some find it mesmerizing. But, no one could ever say it is common.
@buzzardbeatniks yeah you're right. Not by far common. Maybe I'm too ordinary, but I like movies to have a begining, some story (1 preferably) and the end - all together should make some sense and which does not leave me pissed for waisting 2 hours or so:) Just a matter of perspective, I suppose. But most shocking one was the one with the bunnies?!? I did try to get it, I swear, but just couldn't move passed that opening scene..
@jbsvpmrn there's many people that just like to watch movies to relax and have a break from everything maybe that's your case but lynch is for an audience that tends to use their minds and sort of try to make their own story i think ....

The song I think you're taking about is "Wicked Game" and it's by Chris Isaak.
