at 1.05 it just proves our ability to turn beautiful old streets into hideous drab monuments of nothingness! all you get now is traffic lights, ugly hand railings., tarmaced roads with yellow paint, bollards. road signs,, and usually accompanied by trails of wet litter, fag ends & dog shit

Excellent points of reference for me. It's astounding to see what used to be in the places that I walk past every day. Airdrie would be nicer if those buildings were still there instead of a bland, pedestrianised desert.
