I think Rahe's point about collage seniors is an interesting one. When you look at it, doesn't compulsory education teach you more of what to think then how to think? Witness how many students today are terrified of environmental catastrophe. Does this system produce individuals who can sustain a republican form of government?How "educated" in the modern sense, meaning having degrees as opposed to knowing things, were the founding fathers?I've posted a video on this at my angrybeaverfilms blog.
