it dont thinks so. but it doesnt matter because 2gen ipod touches already come with the 2.0 update. just click update on itunes and it will update to the latest version (2.2)

this are some steps you should take

1. you need to open up itunes, then go to help, then click on "check for updates" your itunes NEEDS to be at the latest version. it should be like 8.1 er whatever.

2. once done upgrading, unplug your ipod from the computer, and restart both the ipod and computer.

3. change usb ports.

4. open up itunes, wait for itunes to recognize your ipod and restore it.
