I´ve been planning to move to Canada. Maybe in a few years when i´m done with studies. I would sure like to taste those pancakes, and about every other thing that´s on the menu.
I love this... Darlene flipping pancakes at the hoito.... and I agree... I drives me absolutely insane when a non Finn says sawna... it's sauna ( pronounced) sow-na... get it right already lol
@ApprenticeBushcraft ya no shit eh? lol I call them Nishnabe jk....But in reality my husband is Ojibwa and our son is half breed. The sad thing is that when the first immigrant discovered Canada...he thought he was in India which is why he called natives "Indians" they shouldve made the correction once they realized that they werent in India!!!! BTW part of my user name is what my husband's Ojibwa last name means :)
I'm glad he visited the Hoito the last time he came through town. I hope his performance on June 9 at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium will be a good one.
Terry Fox cool! Rick Mercer Rocks! I seen your video on ThunderBayBuzz(dot)com which showcases Thunder Bay news, tweets, sports, Thunder Bay classifieds and entertainment. Really cool site that is showing Thunder Bay videos!
@SniperViper1000 I mean every town and city in north western ontario is spaced apart by an hour or so. North Bay is about 10 hours or so from here. I forget because I haven't been there since 2001 and it's not even close to being in this area.
At the very beginning of the video Rick emerges from the doorway of the old grimy pool hall on Bay St. that had the juke box with the really great tunes--spent so much time there in my teens in the early 90's. Hoito Finn pancakes are classic, (but I make better ones.)
no, youre not imagining things. he is wearing the jacket from his ski trip with nancy green. at least its getting used outside of him skiing that once!
@skaycee12 I do too! Im Finn and I was so happy to hear that he was going to the finlandia club. Their Finn pancakes are my favourite food; next to poutine :P
why ain't all Canadians eschewed theses they should be part of the the mandatory Canadian kit ROTFLMFAO and also ROTFLMFAO @ the last part them Finnish people looks like they be a laugh love to have a beer with them

In northern Ontario distance is measure in hours not km. Everything is usually spaced out about an hours drive away.

@Trivium1982 You mean a few hours? To bigger cities such as North Bay and Timminse etc...
