  • I´ve been planning to move to Canada. Maybe in a few years when i´m done with studies. I would sure like to taste those pancakes, and about every other thing that´s on the menu.

  • This had me laughing the whole time!

  • I love this... Darlene flipping pancakes at the hoito.... and I agree... I drives me absolutely insane when a non Finn says sawna... it's sauna ( pronounced) sow-na... get it right already lol

  • @missfiveday imagine how the natives feel being called "Indians" all these years :D

  • @ApprenticeBushcraft ya no shit eh? lol I call them Nishnabe jk....But in reality my husband is Ojibwa and our son is half breed. The sad thing is that when the first immigrant discovered Canada...he thought he was in India which is why he called natives "Indians" they shouldve made the correction once they realized that they werent in India!!!! BTW part of my user name is what my husband's Ojibwa last name means :)

  • Holy shit he was in my neighborhood. I live near the Hoito.

  • I'm glad he visited the Hoito the last time he came through town. I hope his performance on June 9 at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium will be a good one.

  • Terry Fox cool! Rick Mercer Rocks! I seen your video on ThunderBayBuzz(dot)com which showcases Thunder Bay news, tweets, sports, Thunder Bay classifieds and entertainment. Really cool site that is showing Thunder Bay videos!

  • nice coat

  • Not a real sauna, they're still wearing pants :P

  • i want food made by mercer! xD

  • holy crap lol that is awesome :D

  • My friend's 16 year old son has the same jacket as Rick. LOL

  • "i've got a helmet, what could go wrong?" lol you mean besides falling off the cliff?

  • having pants in sauna = weird :D

  • I'm from Finland and one my dream is to travel to Thunder bay and visit in Hoito

  • lol defiantly worked at central car wash with those clowns in the sauna lol

  • In northern Ontario distance is measure in hours not km. Everything is usually spaced out about an hours drive away.

  • @Trivium1982 You mean a few hours? To bigger cities such as North Bay and Timminse etc...

  • @SniperViper1000 I mean every town and city in north western ontario is spaced apart by an hour or so. North Bay is about 10 hours or so from here. I forget because I haven't been there since 2001 and it's not even close to being in this area.

  • yay finnish! latyot! = mmm

  • awesome

  • Awesome. I was born and raised in TBay - I miss it so much (and the Hoito!)

  • At the very beginning of the video Rick emerges from the doorway of the old grimy pool hall on Bay St. that had the juke box with the really great tunes--spent so much time there in my teens in the early 90's. Hoito Finn pancakes are classic, (but I make better ones.)

  • he's wearing the coat from show with Nancy Green or am I just seeing things?

  • no, youre not imagining things. he is wearing the jacket from his ski trip with nancy green. at least its getting used outside of him skiing that once!

  • thunder bay ruuuuuulzzes!

i'm at lakehead university... if i knew he was at the hoito, i would have stood out there "in the dead of winter".

ooohh... now i have to get to go there and then a coffee for the road from calicoe's....lol

  • This rocks my world, especially since I'm a Thunder Bayer born, raised, and still here! :) Keep comin back Rick - we love ya!

  • I live in Thunder Bay!

    this is awesome!

now I want some Finn pancakes! lol

  • @skaycee12 I do too! Im Finn and I was so happy to hear that he was going to the finlandia club. Their Finn pancakes are my favourite food; next to poutine :P

  • Rick Mercer ROCKS in Thunder Bay my home town I love it!! i love you to Rick!

  • It's Nip-Pig-Gin, not Nip-I-GONE. lol

  • They were like, 5 year old boys at the end omg.

  • Rick's the man!

  • I cried from laughter.

  • I WAS BORN IN THUNDER BAY!!

  • yoohoo on being a sea cadet! They actually mention Mercer's name on the Cadet website.
