there was a tornado yesterday in the small town i live in in england, and it was an f1. it was sooo scary, it was pouring down with rain, then there was a huge clap of thunder, then the wind just got stronger and stronger and in the distance u could see this grey funnel cloud just swirling around, i remember seeing a trash can flying through the air but thats all. the only damage it done was uproot a small tree and break some windows, so this tornado is no way an f1!

i was at the genesee county fair that day.I saw at least 5 pics on people cell phones minutes afterwards.People died in the 1993 tornado.I am so glad it not like kansas and we have alot of them tornadoes here.

Good footage, but it's amazing how such an event is blown so out of proportion by the media. Had this happened in the Midwest, it would be a non-event. This was an extremely weak tornado that caused relatively little damage. I heard it mentioned on WHAM-13 that the Corfu mayor referred to the tornado as "devastating." Give me a break. It damaged a few buildings and leveled a greenhouse, which is expected considering its made of all glass.

It all depends on the location and the chances of the event happening in that location. This happened in a small town where people suffered who can't afford to suffer. Nothing over blown about that.

i live in lancaster when the tornado warning happened its insane. Then i went outside and i see this spining cloud almost to the ground a block from my home so i had to go inside and grabbed my dog and went down the basement cause i wasn't sure if it did hit the ground course it didn't cause i was just being safe you know. Went right over my house in Darien. (the photo with the split rail fence is from my road). Since it didn't touch down yet, I barely noticed, aside from the wind, hail & sheets of rain. Villiage of Corfu got hit hard. Power is not expected to be restored until sometime tomorrow, East and South of the villiage.

First off, do you have a degree in meteorology? Doubtfull based on the brash comments you're making claming its most defiantly a F2 tornado. Do you even know what the "F" stands for? Do you know what the classifcations are that determine the differences between a F1 and a F2? Just because you've seen the movie "Twister" doesn't mean you can go out and classify any tornado you see. I'm happy no one was injured......but don't try to make it out like this was the storm of the decade.......
