While practising this jam, I also found it sounds cool if one puts the index finger on the 4th fret instead of the 5th on the "a" string in the second chord that he shows.

Thanks Marty, good stuff. Only thing I find difficult is when staying in the groove with the chords, is making the switch to some single notes with the scale but still playing in the groove. Keeping that smooth is kinda hard to get, but I'll practice it. :)

what's the point of fretting the 5th of the B if it's the same tone as the higher open string?

The B is the 5th anyway, so the chord won't won't change becasue of it..

Do you just like that extra echoy sound you get when you play the 5th next to the next open string???
