  • R.I.P. mark. simply one of toronto's finest.

  • It's still hitting Toronto and Citytv viewers very hard months later.

  • Brought a tear to my freak'n eye...R.I.P. Mark, everywhere!

  • @kanukster Me too!

  • he will be missed

  • Mark Dailey was a good, kind decent man. He was an incredible reporter and anchor in the history of CityPulse/CityNews. It's really sad that he has passed away. He will be sadly missed. He will forever be "The Voice" of CityTv and will forever be in our hearts. "Everywhere!"

    R.I.P. Mark Dailey

  • He is missed.

  • All I can say is damn what a damn shame *massive sigh*

  • I was so lucky to have met him in 2009 at a Special needs Hockey Tourny in Toronto he did the opening of the Hockey Toruny as the MC but the thing I remember about him the most was he would read the episode Description of each and every STNG episode!!!!

  • I've seen him couple times before on TV...I wished I have watched more :( RIP Mr. Dailey.

  • Damn cancer is scary...Jim Kelley from the fan590 passed away a few days ago from cancer and now Mark Dailey....Pat Burns before them......all fine men with plenty of good years left....Live your life people...dont take it for granted

  • This man will always be remembered in my heart because he brought joy to everyone everynight at 11pm. He will always be a person that make the news fun for me to watch, and i know that there are some people who are in my age group with is 20 yrs old who think watching the news is boring but for me mark had always made me understand what our city has to go through on a daily base because he made watching the news fun and entertaining even when the news is serious. Ill miss you mark.

  • @jancy111 I'm 26 myself so I can still remember when I was 3 years old mind you back then cable only had a few channels so Citytv was one of the major channels that all I would always hear is Mark Dailey's voice. When I was around 5 I could clearly remember how I would watch the news with my parents and see Mark. I use to think Mark was the coolest reporter he seemed to have life then other reporters of the day like Knowlton Nash. Favorite was his rants after Great Movies!

  • @jancy111 I was to meet his wife today at his public viewing at the funeral home. I told her I never knew him but I grew up with him all my life and I was proud to be working at Rogers knowing he was with the same company, last thing I said to her was he was a good man:) RIP Mark

  • I first met Mark while he was a news man for WHOT radio. As a matter of fact, he let me in the door to observe. I was 18 years old and could not believe that someone of 19 sounded that good. He, Mike Richards and myself became good friends and even went to Florida together in September of 1973. What a great time in Daytona travelling in Richards' new '74 Ford Van. Mark, thanks for everthing you ever did to help my career in broadcasting. JK

  • Some of my earliest memories of my childhood was hearing Marks voice on TV. I still remember as a little kid watching Mark on TV thinking he was the coolest guy and that hasn't changed a bit. I would always remember as a 9 year old waiting for the end of movie credits on Citytv just to hear Mark making a joke or rant about something,I loved it every time.

  • RIP, Mark.

    simply the best!
