nice cover, mike! when i first heard it, this song really felt like it was built around conard's vocals. not sure i like mike's voice for it, but he sings so exceptionally well that it doesn't really matter in the end. love the effect on the muffled piano, and nice drumming man. ;-D good to see some live drums for once! *drummer salute*

I think the music is wonderful but your vocals need some work. I'm not trying to be a hater or anything, just giving you some feedback. I did, however, enjoy the piano greatly in this song. I think that if you just made this song completely instrumental that it would be a greater sounding one compared to this version. Just my thought though. Really though, nice work.

I love this album! Still play it all the time, this one is probably my favourite, I just wish the last "Turn off the radio" poppy version played a bigger part in the song cause it's so powerful. This is a great version, if only had been done early enough to go on the second disc because the covers on there the deluxe edition were nowhere near as good as this...

@MikeLombardoMusic Yeah I liked your Turn Signal version, my second favourite song because the lyrics are just spot-on. Nothing against the artists on the second CD, most of them I'm subbed to, it's just they don't have the same production value and so I find it hard to compare them to the original but this song sounded great.

@MikeLombardoMusic Well, this sounds more human. In my opinion Luke went a bit too far on the vocal production. Sounded a bit too sterile. Of course, the rest of your production is also way more 'garage' than the slick album version. I like it when you can still hear there are actual human beings at work.

@jbdazen Two completely different styles. An untuned vocal would sound out of place in that production environment. I leave in mistakes and blemishes to make it more gritty and human. Both valid.

@MikeLombardoMusic Valid, valid. Come on Mike. That sounds too politically correct. Alan's music is very emotional, and when you produce that emotion out, you're doing something wrong. I feel very strongly about this. Probably because I was involved in the production of this album in the beginning. A few of those songs feel a bit like my babies because I demoed them. I loved it when Tom Milsom sang Alan's songs, I loved it when Raven sang them, I just can't connect with Luke's approach.
