  • This six isn't too bad. Just hate the differences between v8/v6 for these years. The bumpers, engine, and driveline. it just seems like a waste cause there really isn't any good aftermarket for these either. Custom intake, ported heads, and custom turbo= 400hp on stock motor(maybe). But it's like 10k? Just a turbo gt=475rwhp. I've had a 2000 v6 and it was ok but all bolt ons its only 250 at most.

  • is it just me or do headers improve the x pipe dual conversion much more?

  • this is a show car? if i ever go to a car show and there is a dressed up v6 mustang i would just make fun of it

  • @Coy1750 Thanks, you can make fun of all my trophies and plaques too along with it.

  • @Coy1750 Yeah id make fun of your 1.7liter maxima also.

  • @MrAllange 5.3 liter impala

  • Sounds like a small V10 ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • @dranB23 Maybe its because I had a 2 step rev limiter programmed in, if you even know what that is.

  • Long tube headers or shorties and if it really doesnt change much whats the point? on a college students budget is this a worthy upgrade to add to my list

  • @Stopher200 I put in shorty headers, you'd benefit more from long tube headers but it would require more exhaust work. Both headers do add more power.

  • Time for an intake..

  • @blunts4dayzzz It has a Roush cold air intake now.

  • @mustang9807 Right on. I have a 2005 black 4.0, i was wondering how hard of an install the headers were? Any noticeable difference?

  • @blunts4dayzzz Headers are easy to install from the top. Just have to remove the air intake on the drivers side. I did have to cut a corner off of the bracket that holds the coil pack to clear the header flange. Other than that its an easy install. Yes I noticed a difference.

  • do you think the headers changed the sound that much?

  • @32Jconn Not really, gave it a little bit more of a raspy sound but not by much.

  • haha heard better!!

  • @MrAmericanmuscle81 Yeah me too, only 8 cylinders sound good to me. It will get a swap eventually!

  • sounds goood!! i have only magnaflow and intake lol

  • Normally I'm not a fan of V6's and this is coming from someone who owns a GT but that thing looks and sounds pretty damn sweet for a V6.

  • @shnaz23 Thanks, yeah its the best sounding exhaust I have heard on a V6. Yeah, it looks even better now since that video because I put some rims on it. With the few bolt ons that I have done to it now, its just as much fun to drive as my 1998 GT, just minus the v8 rumble.

  • Did you notice any improvement on the top end with the BBK and Dynomax exhaust? Ive got a 09 with a 3:73 rear with a detroit posi. and added the preditor computer software. Is it just for sound?

  • HAHAHAHA It's a V6!

  • Sounds great. A BEAUTIFUL car. You know, Dynomax does so much for our V6's. They are the only manufacturer that has an exhaust part for any application/modification. I made a custom exhaust with FM 10 mufflers and all Dynomax parts and pipe. Your car sounds perfect. I love it long time-5 dolla's.

  • There will be PLENTY more reason to upgrade V6 especially when more parts come out for the 2011..

  • Great Job with the exhaust. A+ job, I love it. You done good with this one.

  • my dads 65 is this color

  • this is a pretty nice mustang, I kinda wish mine wasn't red, yellow looks to good lol.

  • @SvvErVeN I already do have a 98 mustang GT also. I couldn't afford a new GT at the time I bought this one. I got the V6 for a really good deal brand new. I pretty much just use it as a show car now.

  • @mustang9807

Dont have to explain to retards...awesome car man.

  • @dejuan71 Thanks!

  • @SvvErVeN dude if ur gonna insult 6 bangers why are u even looking i seen 4 banger subus run all over Cobras all day long the 6 bangers have more balls now then ever even the new 3.7 mustang out runs every Mustang ever Built even v8 models ever made besides the new 5.0 and Shelby 500 and besides anybody can build a v8 it takes a passion to build a motor that nobody says can be quick

  • @DHK59 LOL yup you know about cars huh? I mean you spell the names of them well...right mr.subus? LOL didnt know they made those cars!! Uhh yeah i already know about mustangs...i own a 5.0...and i dont really care if imports or 4bangers take out cobras where you live...i dont live, where you do, so it doesnt matter...passions to build a v8? Never herd that. lol all you need is a tranny, an engine and

  • @SvvErVeN you must have known what i was saying about subuaru i own a 3.8 Mustang and it ran low 13s and passion to build a v6 but the fact of the matter is your just a typical v8 meat head that can not preciate a car for what it is

  • @SvvErVeN lol. I put a Vortech on my '05 and minor bolt-ons and im pushing 360-372 RWHP. Wanna race? I bet Ill win.

  • @tivo304 Dude i dont really care what you have on your car, for all I know u can be driving a rice burner! lol this is youtube bro, idk why ur trying to race people here haha wow!! Do you go around every video saying u have a vortech and saying id bett id win? Cause if u do, thats sad!!

  • @SvvErVeN get a fucking life youve been commenting on this video for about a month just let it go and stop hating on sixxers

  • @BoboboBoBoBoboSucks who the hell are you?? lol wow!!! and if u dont like my comments then just dont read them...its just as simple as that...and i bet your going to reply to this saying...why dont you shut up or something like that huh bob? or saying ur gunna be the bigger man and walk away! haha

  • @SvvErVeN yo man quit hatin on people, the fact of the matter is ur probably just a fat 14 year old little boy who wishes he could have a nice car, but actualy has some 1971 rusted up van that there grandparents probably fucked in, waitin for them in the garage. your just a annoying wannabe. my 2011 v6 mustang will beat the shit outa ur imaginary v8 cars. now go get a life ya little fuck.

  • @DragonFlyRevolver the fact is that you must be a 14 years old because only immature minds must think of that story, or at least say that! aha i dont care what you think i have, and did i ask you what you had? Little fuck? Ur cool...seriuously when you talk shit online at least come up with better come backs and say u have a 2011 v6! Youtube is funny...its amazing how one comment can change everything

  • @SvvErVeN i don't get why people buy v8s and try to sup them up with superchargers and turbochargers. If you want a real car that goes fast, get a 10 cylinder, or 12. I mean come on, a shelby gt500? really? Get a Viper, or an Enzo, or F1. See the logic falling apart? v6 are pretty fast nowadays and the gts are so heavy. i've made some minor mods to my v6 and its already faster than the gts because its so much lighter and handles much better.

  • @odessaboy all ima say to you bro is...dont you feel special to being faster then a gt? haha

  • @SvvErVeN lmao my old v6 would walk all over your precious v8s, a mustang is a mustang regardless

  • @SvvErVeN Real car? do you know how long 6 cylinder cars have been around? since 1903 the v6 mustangs need loving also. Upgrading a v6 mustang that can beat a GT is generally cheaper than buying at GT model, plus insurance is a lot lower. V8's are expensive lol.

  • you should get hood pins for your stang, if u do go 2 this site americanmuscle[dot]com they have the best prices for ur stang, i no this cause i wanted a 05 v6 stang

  • @adcstmh Thanks, yeah I use american muscle for all my parts pretty much.

  • @mustang9807 i love ur car man i would trade my 94 gt for it lol its a real beauty makes me want 1 ur luckey man and how did u find a 5 speed? i was looking for them and couldent find 1

  • @adcstmh It was actually the last brand new 07 mustang they had on the lot. I got a great deal on it because the 08s were out when I bought it.

  • @mustang9807 oh i wanna get 1 in 2 years or later, how much power u makein?

  • @adcstmh When I had it ran on the dyno I made 195 horse and 225 foot pounds of torque. I've done a few more mods since then so I think I should be around 220 horse at the wheels. I dont think thats too bad since the V6 only makes about 160 to 165 stock at the wheels.

  • @mustang9807 cool get the sct tune for it will make alot more ponies

  • @adcstmh I already have an sct tweaked tune in her

  • @mustang9807 oh lol u can get pullies thottle body and gears but get gears next if u get anything u will notice a huge increase in takeoff

  • @adcstmh I already have a throttle body and 3.73 gears done. Check out some of my other videos and you'll see almost everything done to the car.

  • @mustang9807 dang lol guess u got everything

  • I want to put x pipes on my mustang, Does a GT bumper require extra stuff or is it just a remove and replace sort of thing where it fits exactly the same?

  • @FPSManiacGaming Yeah, pretty much just swaps right over. You have to drill out some rivets on the old bumper to get a mounting bracket off but thats about it.

  • install must have been nice with all that extra room to work with, they look good man, grats!

  • You should stop spending on it and trade it in for a GT. There is no substitute for a GT no matter what you do to a v6. The GT makes about the same MPG and is the real deal.

  • @guyd37 I already have a 98 GT, thats the performace car. This car is my show car. If I can find a doner car, I'll do a v8 swap before I ever get rid of it. This V6 currently puts more horsepower down to the wheels than my 98 V8.

  • where exactly did you get the gt bumper

  • @usmarineofficer anywhere, try ebay or your local ford dealer

  • @usmarineofficer The site I bought mine off of no longer has the rear bumpers listed.

  • @usmarineofficer Partstrain has it for 175$

  • V6? wow nice kit..

  • how much horsepower would you say it added do you know?

  • @99inflames I'm not really sure but the exhaust did make a pretty big difference.

  • @mustang9807 yeah im thinking about getting some for mine

  • how much was the dual exhaust kit

  • @wonderbreadkw It was 450 at a local performance parts shop.

  • My friend has a 2008 v6 and i have a 2007 v6, she put dual dynomax on it, and i have just a flowmaster 44 muffler on mine and mine is louder haha, tho i am buying a dual magnaflow kit soon and JBA headers

  • @KRCobra500 Cool, yeah going with a true dual exhaust setup unlocks a few more horses out of the car.

  • Wow I was prepared to make some stupid comment about the only way to make a V6 sound cool is to swap a V8. But that is the best sounding V6 Mustang I've ever heard. Cool !!

  • @FordRulesChevySucks Thanks a lot, I get a lot of compliments on how that V6 sounds. I have a V8 mustang too so I tried to get it to sound the best I could with the V6 and not like a ricer. Sounds even better is real life.

  • do u have cats on there?

  • @originalnetpirate Yes, I cut out the factory cats and connected them to the X-pipe

  • @mustang9807 sounds nice

  • best fucking sounding v6 mustang hands down!!!!!! can't wait to here what the 305hp 2011 will sound like... i'm still thinking if i should pick up the 2011 GT or the V6 and just highly mod that beast! good job with this stang buddy!

  • Thanks, Yeah, I'd go with the 2011 GT. That 5.0 liter with 412 horse should throw you back in the seat hard. Can't wait to see the full potential on the new 5.0 either. New 305 hp V6 with a 6 speed sounds nice too. I know that new 3.7 liter in it, Ford has worked on the exhaust tone to make it sound even better for being a V6.

  • why a V6? GT all the way, more like shelby

  • Well when I bought it I was going for a daily driver so I wanted good fuel mileage. It didn't end up that way. I still have a GT for the V8 power anyway. Plus I'm putting down the same HP with the V6 so its not so bad. Yes a newer V8 would have been nice too.

  • omg that sound freakin amazing. xpipes? what mufflers? and the headers are kinda a waste since ford makes the best flowing headers for the mustang already.

  • you might have a v6, but that body kit is shit hot..roush on the front?

  • Nope. Its a 3D Carbon kit that will only fit on the V6 bumper and grill.

  • where did you get it and how much?

  • I forgot the website but they miss printed the price on the website so I got it for like $220. Price went back up after I ordered it.

  • damn all i need is to find a job, and everything sounds great man. not choppy like all the other videos

  • Now that they have broken in could you please do another video. Also could you take the car outside to do it. I am deciding between these and flows with H pipe. I have a feeling these sound so good because they are in a garage. Thanks.

  • Check out some of my other videos. I have a video doing a burnout with the car, you can hear it there, and also a video outside but there were no headers installed at that time. Also a dyno pull is in a video too.

  • sorry for commenting so much, but do these have a deeper rumble from the outside and are they loud? like on a scale of 1-10

  • Yeah, this system has a deeper sound in lower RPM and its decently loud but not too crazy. I've never actually heard it from the outside because I haven't let anyone drive the car yet lol.

  • thanks, cause i was deciding between the Flowmaster duals or the Dynomax duals and i think i might go for Dynomax now lol

  • Yeah, so far everyone has liked my dynomax system from whatever they have. I'm happy with it.

  • How hard is it to install headers?

  • Its really easy on this car. They drop in from the top, just have to take the air box out for more room on the drivers side. Then I had to trim a couple of the brackets that cold the coolant lines on the passengers side and coil pack on the drivers side because the flanges on the headers are a lot bigger than the stock. Not too bad of an install though.

  • does anybody know if the GT driveshaft will fit the V6 transmission? just wanted to save a trip to the shop to ask a question, much appreciated if answered

  • I know for sure that the flange on the drive shaft that connects to the rear axle on a GT will not fit the 7.5 inch rear end of the V6 mustang. I'm not sure about the output shaft on the transmission, my guess it that it probably won't fit there either.

  • "around how much" do headers cost and can it pass smog with them

  • My headers cost me $280 and no they are not smog legal.

  • Not a huge fan of V6's but yours is an exception. It sounds fantastic and has a nice thumpy idle and a roaring rev. Good exhaust combo, my friend.

  • Thanks, People actually think its a V8 when I drive by. I've gotten a lot of compliments on how it sounds. A lot of guy with the V6 want to get away from that ricer sound so they always ask what I have on mine. Sounds even better in real life than on here.

  • Your car sounds a LOT like mine. It's crazy, my video quality isn't as good but I'll post a vid as a response. Was there a big difference in the sound with headers? I'm thinking of getting the same ones as you.

  • Yes there was a noticeable difference. They added that nice popping sound to it.

  • Umm 1 more question. Wat kind of headers are good? JBA or BBK?

  • I'm not sure which is really better. Best way is get online and read any inputs people have on them in some forums. My BBK headers are really nice with thick flanges so they shouldn't ever leak. I really haven't seen any JBA headers yet.

  • LIAR!!!! its a v8....it just misplaced a couple cylinders haha....amazing sounding car man

  • Love it:D might get this for my mustang. Did you get this online?!

  • The dynomax system I ordered from a local performance parts store. The headers I did order off line.

  • Well I'll look for them online. How does it sound driving around town?

  • It sounds really good. People actually think its a V8.

  • So then it must sound better in person than on video:) How much did it cost all together?

  • Yeah, it does sound a lot better in person, especially when there's a load on the engine. It cost me a little over 700 for the exhaust system and headers.

  • How much for the exhuast system?

  • 450

  • Sweet I can afford that:D better than the ford racing exhaust (which is $700 at American muscle) and I can't find a gt rear bumper:/ thanx for the info

  • @212trooper, you can just talk to a ford dealer if u want a GT rear bumper. but it'll prolly be kinda costly though a dealer. you could see if there's an aftermarket GT rear bumper which should be cheaper but it might not fit as well.

  • i found 1 online for $350 i think and if i cant find anything cheaper then ill probably go with the street scene rear fascia for $210. thanks for the info

  • Ive been looking to get a mustang for a long time.. If I buy a v-6 instead of a v-8 am I gonna be really dissapointed? The v-8 is like $5000 more then the v6 and im not sure i can afford it. I can afford the v6 but should i wait till i can get the v8?

  • No matter what mustang you get you won't be disappointed. The V8s are nice, but with the little work I have done to my V6 I'm putting out the same horsepower at the wheels as my 1998 GT with a V8. It is shy on torque compared to a V8 put still has some muscle in it.

  • what dynomax mufflers are on it?

    ultra flos, or super turbos?

  • Not really sure, whatever cam with the kit.

  • Get a 3:73 or 4:10 gear ..and 100 shot of Nitrious...will beat a GT everytime..

  • almost sounds V12 like

  • this is the best mustang v6 ive ever heard beacuse it has a real deep sound, and not and not high pitched, Good job on body too :)

  • Sounds real good, How do you get the dual exhaust rear bumper for the V6 mustang, or is this a GT rear bumper that you put on your mustang?

  • GT take off rear bumper.

  • Any regrets about getting a v6? I'm buying a 07 next week, its 10 grand, or would you go for the 05 gt for 14,500?

  • Little comparison, With the few things I've done to my V6 I've got it making the same amount of horsepower, just shy 20 foot pounds of torque compared to my 98 mustang GT. Only regret is not having that V8 sound.

  • i agree as far as performance goes all one has to do is be willing to drop a few mods in it.....however your v6 will never sound as good as a v8....but u can get pretty close lol

  • Dude I Have A 09 V6 And I Wish I Could Have Gotten The GT So Bad, But Since Im In College I Couldnt Aford It. GET THE GT,

  • Dude geta fucking GT man. you will be disapointed when you get beat by ricers in the v6 stang

  • never been beat by a ricer. . . .

    hell i've never even been beat by a GT. . . . .

    a 2010 GT500. . . now that was embarassing.

lol but wat should i been expecting???

  • did you do the paint job?

  • It came from the factory that color. It was a new color option for 2007, Grabber Orange.

  • thats sounds amazing

  • where did you get that rear bumper?

  • I got it from Ninosport's website under new take off parts.

  • sweet thanks

  • Continued* have to get the bumper restriped. A piece of vinyl that size would be around 20 bucks.. Oh and one more thing sorry about the q's. Um is there any option for dual exhaust where all I needed was a rear valence skirt? So I would not have to replace the whole bumper? Thanks dude. HAHAHHAHA how was my story...

  • I haven't seen the center exhaust for it yet. My rear GT bumper was a new take off part and already paint matched for the car. It cost me 150 for the bumper and 100 for shipping(big box). My exhaust cost 450. You can use your V6 bumper with a dual exhaust kit. All you need to do is trim a cut out into it. I think it looks better to just replace it or look for a rear valence. 3D Carbon has a few valence skirts out. Might want to see if they have one for a V6 dual exhaust conversion.

  • Hey man. I got an 08 V6 and am looking to play around with exhaust styles. I just want some opinions, what does everyone think of that center exhaust system from street scene auto? It probably won't even work for my car but I was just wondering. And another question. Can you give me a guestimate on how much it would cost to get a GT bumper, good exhaust kit (that does not allow the loss of low end torque), and get it painted to match the color of my car? Oh yeah and my car is striped so I would

  • almost forgot, i'm seriously considering putting the exact same exhaust on my 07 (since it sounds so dang good on yours)

besides the cost of labor (will probably be doing mine myself) how much did it cost?

  • Yeah I put mine on myself, You have to be able to jack the car up really high to the the pipes over the rear axle, just a hint. Other than that its not too bad. Just jack it up, put it on a jack stand, then put wood under your jack to get more lift. The kit cost me 450.

  • i didnt even think they made headers for our v6's!

  • Yep, there's actually a bit out for them now. They even have long tube headers out for them

  • wow! that's what i get for not keeping up with mustang stuff for a few months!

  • where can you find the longtubes??? I've heard you have to modify ones for v8, which is a waste of time. I've heard shorties only add like 5 hp...jw where u find longtubes, I got an 07 v6 grabber orange, love it so much

  • Pacesetter I believe makes long tube headers for the V6 mustang.

  • so does hooker i believe

  • Such a beautiful car. 5/5

  • Thanks!

  • ok so If I buy a BBK header, do I need to buy a bbk exhaust system or can I buy for example a Borla? will the 2 work together? I have an 07 mustang

  • Yeah, a lot of stuff will work together. The BBK shorty headers bolt right to the cats, then the rest of my exhaust is hooked up after the cats so it should work.

  • Is that a body kit? OMG I want that! What is it? And where did you get it? I need to know everything!

  • Yep body kit. The front bumper and grill are made by 3D Carbon. Rockers and rear bumper are GT take offs. I got it all online from a bunch of websites. I have yet to see anyone with the same body kit as me, even at the Ford Carlisle this year. Thing is it only fits the V6 front bumper.

  • how much does it cost to install headers? or is it hard to install yourself?

  • I installed them myself. Its not too hard, only thing was you have to modify the bracket that holds the ignition coil pack and some metal coolant lines on the other side.

  • Its easy to install them into a V6 mustang. I did them myself also on my other mustang. but my GT was impossible. i brought it in, i couldnt do it! for a GT you have to mount the engine up. so its a pain in the ass on a GT but V6 is pretty easy.

  • i need help...should i get the bbk headers with high-flow catted x-pipe or bbk headers with the borla x-pipe? by the way i only have the magnaflow mufflers (bot the magnapacks) on with stock everything else. the only thing i have aftermarket is a herst shifter and CAI

  • Its up to you, whatever works with your exhaust set up. Both x-pipes will be good. I cut the stock converters out and used them on the magnaflow x-pipe.

  • are your bbk headers ceramic or the regular chrome tuned ones?

  • Chrome

  • If you want an even deeper sound to your Mustang put an H pipe in instead of X pipe.

  • too late haha, the X pipe is making good horsepower so it will stay. That and it looks cool on a lift lol

  • Yeah, the X pipe gives your more top end horsepower so you can go faster in the long run, but the H pipe gives you more torque/acceleration. So if you wanna nail that 0-60 time or 1/4 mile runs, H pipe will help, also H pipes sound even cooler.

  • Not bad, sounds like a quiet V8.

  • Thanks, sounds even better when the engine is under load, has a deeper sound to it.

  • yea i know, i was hoping since the vid was a few months old you had gotten rims to perfect your car...i started w. rims then body,...

  • I like the stock rims, just wish they were bigger. Rims are on the list for next year maybe. Check back in a few days, I'll be posting a video of a dyno run on it. Had it dyno tuned this past weekend.

  • yea i know what you mean.. i'll deff check back in, btw, i never dynoed it, but tom this local shop called craigs is intalling 4.10 gears, so imshure itll shit and get... i also got bbk intake, sct tuner, and custom exhaust form a local shop, but i deff need to dyno it... you got gears?
