My Mother, God rest her Soul, not much given to singing, used to sing this to me often...I think it was her connection with the beautiful land she had to leave as a young girl---tears me up---I'm off to buy this CD somewhere..thank you for posting!

Thank you for posting. This was one of my late father's favorite songs to sing .I plan on singing it at an open mike St Pat's Day and was looking for a good recording. Much better sound quality than the other versions on here.
