"The government dropped the ball?" That is what the government does best. They create dependants, whether they are rich OR poor - and then they drop the ball.

The government should not be giving money to anyone, and, it should be spending no more money than it receives.

Go out and write some bad checks, then claim you were "defecit spending." ... the merchants will understand I'm sure. They might even ask you if you want to sell your kids to them in lieu of cash now.

I wish to comfort those suffering. I too a self employed individual only get say a day a week maybe. What we see happening is a power transfer in progress. From the USA as a world power to the UN a situation which will take a while. The elites are bringing down the economy to do this. People in need will submit to a power transfer. My advice get close to family stick together adjust your minds to be content with less. Pray.. God will help those who ask him humbly. Don't let this break ur spirit.

Everyone I know is hurting even me I used to make almost 80k and last year I barely touched 40k mostly due to lost hours and almost no overtime.

I'm embarrased to say How I live now cause I was once so proud. My credit is ruined my girl left me cause I couldn't afford a family and now I'm in debt and won't see the light untill I'm to old to start a family. I allways could afford my bills and then some. Now It's a scary rollercoaster every month- Never mind once my unenployment runs out

here in Australia people are still going about as if nothing is happening...no clue...I am trying to prepare for the worst...cut down expenses..growing our own food, buy clothes from opp shops and go to the local markets...spot on qualqui...trade and barter...before you get into deep water...thanks brother qualqui for the share faved...best of luck and start preparing.

Same thing happenin' here in mexico,....i know various employees that have lost a percentage of their wages because of the actual economic downturn, go north,...not a viable solution now,....stay here, join the informal black market economy,....me thinks the best would be to go it local and without any emphasize in earnin' fiat currencies,...like trade and barter.

I feel very sorry for this guy who is an honest buss owner trying to provide for his family. What frustrates me the most (being laid off over a yr now myself).. I've been working all my life and couldnt afford to have kids..so I didnt. The gov will see ppl like me and this man and the million on UE out in the streets while the welfare crew are warm in their beds with a full belly and all the free medical they want. We need to start telling our gov what they're allowed to spend our $ on!

So very sad to see this. All over US and every working class person I talk around where I live says the same thing. Almost every family I know has someone who had lost their job or their salary has been reduced 50%. But the good news is that I hear righteous anger in the voices of the people today. More and more are opening their eyes for the first time and realizing what has happened. It's almost as if people are coming out of a trance. I really hope the people wake up and there is justice!
