I had the pleasure of meeting Betty in 1994. We hit it off. She was so down to earth and lovely. I now treasure 17 years of letters and Christmas cards. Lucky me. The real Betty was just like the television Betty: warm, vivacious, kind-hearted and terribly funny. The Rovers Return will not be the same again.
I remember watching her documentary on TV and my thoughts were "what a lovely lady". I suppose she was everyone's "Mum" on the Corrie set and knew everyone and their families. If you had a problem or needed advice, she was the person to talk to - RIP to the Hotpot Queen xxx
Helen Worth was feeling up the man's legs and she was chatting about the lovely Betty and she had the biggest smile on her face well too much I think R.I,P Betty Love you forever!!!!
