  • You pronounce it one way, someone else pronounces it another. It's called dialect. God. People are so obsessed over a grammar situation to appreciate the fact this woman is giving great information. I'm only a 13 year old girl yet I'm more mature then you fools. :/

  • Thanks for making this video. have a good day!

  • does herb have a silent H?

  • @dirtydarkbrown In USA it does... not here in the UK though. I find it strange the way our cousins over the water say Oregano and Basil as well. Sounds so alien to me!

  • Very well presented and very informative. Great tips for eradicating greenfly etc. Basil is to sensitive to grow, any gentle breeze and its history. Keep up your excellent work.

  • Thanks! Not only informational but also well put together.

  • Thanks for the information!

  • which month is best to grow oregano?

  • the reason your plants grow better under that light is because it's probably a CFL, if people try this with wrong lights there plants will not be as healthy.

  • we have a windowed room jjust for plants in the house we bought but mom wont let me put my plants inside! i dont want my herbs to die and my only choice is the cold garage :(

  • I love you. Youhave inspired me to gargen and made my life much better. Thank you.

  • She never makes a mess, EVER!!! lol

  • in england we all say the H

  • Great video thank you so much for sharing :)

  • wow thanks!

  • omfg stop aruging about erb or herb im from canada and i say erb big whoop...

  • My family is from Holland and I would sound like an idiot here in America if I pronounced the H in herbs so I have decided to speak the locals language so I wouldn't sound stupid like everyone who has a problem with it. Thanks!!!

  • People are really getting hot under the collar over the pronunciation of a word? Different areas pronounce words differently. It's called an accent. The lady gave an excellent explanation of how to grow herbs indoors. I can't believe there are fools on here arguing over a word. Idiots.

  • these are so helpful and simple thanks for the videos

  • Sean- I love South Africa! If I came to visit I would use the H in herbs out of respect for your culture but I must speak like the locals here in the US so I don't sound stupid

  • There is a "H" in herb . . . . use it!!!!

  • USA says Erb, the rest of the english speaking world says HERB...

  • @WorldOfHumanWreckage thats not true, my whole town says herb.

  • As an American, I pronounce words the American way. My family is from Holland and I would love to pronounce many words the right way-but I must do as the Americans do as an American-Thanks!

  • Your words are fine. You explained things wonderfully and I enjoyed the segment.

  • "Herb" is the name of a person, "erb" is the name for the wonderful flavors that come out of the garden into the kitchen. I'm American, and seemed to have paid attention in English class.

"In American English "herb" is normally pronounced, with the initial "h" silent, but in British English the "h" is sounded: (see American and British English pronunciation differences)." Check your dictionary. Maybe you're British? :-)

  • in nice to have dryed herbs in the garden???? or in the kitchen??

  • Cool, I am not much of a chef, but it'd still be fun to have some herbs that don't come out of bottles. ;)
