you're absolutely right about holiday music. Non-religious lyrics tend to simply describe the ideal xmas. I live in the northeast US & a snowy xmas does not happen often at all, even up here. The intangible spirit to be embraced this time of year should not be a "setting" (snow, hot chocolate, fireplace, etc.), but a feeling of peace & warmth toward all other people, locally & globally
