We live in capitalist dictatorship, wage slavery has become a norm, we are prisoners of a profit driven market, we have to reclaim our world from tyranny and insanity of capitalism . What should emerge is a sharing and caring world where life/love principal will guide us and all the generations to come. CAPITALISM IS PRISON SHAKE OFF YOUR CHAINS.

Hegelian dialectics(incarnational immanance) was used by both modernist liberals, Karl Marx, and now emergent postmoderns-last time I checked-communism slaughtered more people-even more then the Nazi's did to Jews in WW2. Capitalism is the only free economic construct-if your not getting paid enough-take your labor elsewhere

I agree with your assertion that we are wage slaves, but DISAGREE with your views on capitalism. Capitalism promotes the business that bring the most value to the market place, and ensures the problems of future will be met with the resources and dedicated minds of today. HOWEVER, the US is about corporatism, not capitalism, and the government functions as a corporate arm to protect the largest corporations from the emerging entrepreneurs that keep attacking their market share. While our capitalist society may have become corrupt, capitalism has raised more people out of poverty than an other governmental or economic philosophy in the history of civilization.. So, I ask you: in place of capitalism what do you propose?

let's be the generation who finally said "I will have world peace", "I will have hope for the future", and with the internet and technology it is physical proof that we are interconnected so lets use it. if 100 people spread peace then 100 people lost fear!

YES! even from decade to decade we look back and say every decade has been different. which means in the next decade we will change and that change depends upon how we want it to change and most people are unaware of this.

most people think it just happens.

we could have world peace in ten years once we TRY. once we think we can. one person can change the world, imagine what 100 can do, or 100,000 or even a million.

Inspiring straight talk! I was particularly struck by his comment that we are here not to save the world, but to serve the emergence of the new paradigm: we are midwives in essence. That can take many, many forms, and we each are important. Also, the idea of "the gift" works both ways: we bring our gifts to this work, and we are given the gift of being part of something much bigger and the gift of working with so many wonderful people.

What is this "new paradigm" he's speaking of? Globalized communication systems? The erosion of tribal divisions? Improving the Homo sapien sapien through the use of biotechnology?

It's true that if you look at the things the media CHOOSES to report on, it gives the impression that the world is going to hell.

Make no mistake, it is a conscious choice of the media outlets. They choose not to report on uplifting news.

In that environment it is easy, almost inevitable, if you don't consciously hold a positive intention, that you will be filled with negativity.

Spirituality, to me, is holding and acting on the positive possibilities.

What a coincidence...just this morning I was reading in my book 'Oneness', by Rasha, about us being midwives. Here is the quote, "For, collectively, you are the midwives who are assisting with the birthing of a new reality." (P.240)
