  • The back is just No !

  • Why are you driving on the wrong side of the road

  • Here in the US the CR-Z doesn't even come with a backseat

  • 2 things I like about this car

    1. Hybrid Engine

    2. and it come whit Manual Transmission.

  • ..cuz it's a car designed by asians, u freaking giant.

  • the back looks like an open VAGINA !

  • i actually like this car, a lot of people say its heavy but its just the same weight as a honda civic sedan LX

  • gonna get one of these

  • Honda says NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • Why are the roads so tight in UK. U can't drive big cars

  • @PoisonSapphire One, because to widen roads, people's land would need to be purchased and two, the UK has limited room for its population... Also, nearly every plan to build a road is protested against by local people...

  • i used to be a honda fan, but those new hondas are so freaking ugly and u dont get good value for your money. just check the new honda civic with the 2006 honda civic! the old one is sooo much better!

  • Where did Mat go???!!!

  • Is matt aussie? because the steering wheel is the same side as australia. and he said zed, not zee. P.S I am from australia! :)

  • @10newsrox British people say zed, and not zee, and We drive on the right, not the left

  • @xJAKEWx ohh

  • The U.S version doesn't even have 4 seats, Its only a 2 seater here. Oh and Like know one buys these here either.

  • I simply cannot conceive how anyone could buy a hybrid.

  • Useless car, average economy, average performance and worst of all, this car is a 2 seater pretending to be a 4 seater.

  • Conclusion of this video: DON'T buy this car!

  • 122bhp & 57mpg, which part of this car is sporty or ECO?

    Pointless car. 0/10

  • Price start from?

  • i find the whole hybrid thing really just a gimmick. 57mpg at a push? you can get similar from many diesels and also have the performance to be able to overtake on the motorway etc so really i dont see the point.

  • Headlights stolen from the LEXUS xD

  • Absolutely rubbish!Theres plenty room in the back for your anorexic teenage daughters.

  • This is the first time I want to have a try on Hybird Car !

  • 六速手波!

  • I was wondering if he is going to review the CR-Z... And here it is! You go Matt!!

  • i bet the porsche cayenne s hybrid is more fun....

  • check the page there is a girl now!

  • @bnjw12 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *takes deep breath* OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

  • @bnjw12 we prefer mat man, and we arent gay :/

  • come on matt, more videos! what happened to uploading once a day? :( a few a week is fine, keep 'em coming! also like to see more interesting cars, maybe some sportscars if do-able! :)

  • Why are they still reviewing this car? It's been here for a while now!

  • Honda finally made a hybrid that is fun . Fuck Prius !

  • I'd rather walk tyvm

  • The steering is so sharp you can use it to do plastic surgery! :P NICE ONE!

  • @adamY2K, No.20, But it is not enough comfortable, though; Nevertheless, nobody does not need one racing-car. Thank you.

  • Review Toyota Verso Please!

  • Mat ,,, Chevy sonic REVIEW

  • Nice!

  • This guy is listening us. Good job Matt, i newer subscribe but i am subscribed to carbuyer and i'm glad i did it ... Best car reviewer out there for sure!!!

  • US spec is more reasonable than.

  • I Think Car is Smiling

  • The US spec doesn't have rear seats it just a two seater

  • two things, 1.WHY THE FUCK does car makers insist on putting back seats in cars that arent big enough, there unusable and heavy and actualy make insurance premiums HIGHER than having a two seater.

    2. i know its because it has a manual box, but who would buy a hybrid that cant run on electric only, thats the only reason to buy one....literally thats it....just that... i wanna sit in traffic with no engine on and feel good that its not costing me money, instead u buy this and waste it anyways.

  • @thatciggaweed CRZ's engine actually stops at traffic lights

  • good review matt

  • Mat Watson is awesome <3

  • That damn awful rear end, Citroen did this a few years ago withe C4,makes the car looks like it has had a rear end rollover

  • @lffit

but honda did crx in 90's=))

  • It's hilarious seeing them in NA because our licence plates are narrower and taller than the EU ones. It makes the CRZs look buck-toothed

  • I have been driving this car for 4 hours test-drive. first, i'm 1.96m tall, and this car is just too small for me and its noisy. its very fun to drive it and people look back when you drive it. In SPORT mode its nearly like BMW, but in ECO mode its..economical. Trunk is small either. I would buy Scirocco, because it's more practical and look good too. But, if you need car fun and quality for one or two persons CR-Z is absolutely enough. Just test it and you will see! Good luck!

  • I love the looks!

  • Please next car mercedes gl =))

  • Awesomw videoes carbuyer!!

Its been ages sice u reviewd a car!!!! Do it mre oftn

  • @boomyakasha you dont like vagina???? hm... are you gay?

  • fisker karma is the best hybrid

  • @radu0gheorghe You're forgetting that the initial investment you have to pay for an hybrid is like 3-4K USD more than a regular family car. for this amount you can buy petrol for almost 4 years! considering this, regular petrol cars are more economical after all.

  • @TheOne42 yes, you have to pay a premium for hybrids. I didn't forget that, I was comparing them to diesels, which, with similar options on them, are similarly priced. However, you get some of your money back when you sell the car. It think it's not easy to determine which is more economical. Still, I would buy the hybrid because it seems a more natural choice in terms of energy and pollution. And you don't know how fuel costs will evolve (which also influence resell values).

  • And it's cheaper than a scirocco

  • Dated styling from the early 1990-ies, two seats, small trunk, bad visibility, not particularly quick, not particularly fuel-efficient - a pointless car. The Jazz/Fit is the only true Honda these days.

  • About the car and back seats....you have to understand that Japanese people are shorter than europeans so they can easily put two teenager there or old grandma.

  • THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE NEW CIVIC

  • I hear its not fun to drive in other reviews but somehow...I trust Matt on this one. I now like the CR-Z because Matt convinced me :)

  • OK i'm sorry but just over 100 mp in a heavy car will NEVER be "sporty".

  • I probably buy an old Citroen c4 coupe

  • Awful car..Honda is making really crappy cars these days

  • whel Matt what do you expect from a sports hatchbak ? a lot of space in the back and a big boot ? :DDD as i recall all the sports cars or sports hatches have this common problem. If anyone wants room buy a stationwagon or a saloon car, simple as that xD but i must say civic and this CR-Z have the worst rear designt and functionality !!!

  • Basically this review says that the car would have been better without being a hybrid. More power, more trunk space, less weight. And I pretty much agree.

  • and auxiliary components get in the way.

It's doesn't actually have anything to do with 'braking'

  • @Guitarnoob99 the 'brake' in brake horsepower, refers to where the power of the engine was measured.

Brake horsepower is the measurement of the power directed to the crankshaft (in old engines).

There are other measurements such as Nominal horsepower, indicated horsepower and shaft horsepower. These are for steam engines/paddle steamers and all sorts.

Brake horsepower basically means the actual recorded measurement for how powerful the engine is, before things like the gearbox, alternator a

  • Ugly fucking piece of shit.

  • why the hell british insist on saying Brake Horse Power ?!!! :DDD that sounds completely stupid ! why not just say Horse Power ? you dont mesure your braking power ? so why say it in the first place....weird.The cars is accelerating so power is the right word here :] but braking is a diferent matter...why on earth would you say "BRAKE" horse power.

  • @Guitarnoob99

beats the h*** out of me , too O_O

  • @Guitarnoob99 Horsepower was originally measured and calculated by use of the indicator (a James Watt invention of the late 18th century), and later by means of a De Prony brake connected to the engine's output shaft.

    Wikipedia

  • I would rather have a bicycle.

  • Abercrombie?!

  • here in the states, we don't even have a back seat option. just some uncovered storage. i would personally keep the "seat back" folded down for maximum cargo space. i've actually heard this is a good car other than the fact that it is a 2 seater.

  • Cars with such rear visibility should be banned from the streets.

  • I imagine this car is better suited for the European or Asian markets as they focus on smaller vehicles. Here in the States, this car is tiny and a real road risk.

  • @blueorangelettuce It's not that small.. I mean, compared to a Tahoe it is. But everything is small compared to one of those.

  • @blueorangelettuce not everyone needs a huge suv and with fuel prices not getting lower it will likely be more common to have a smaller car to even in the states

  • Horrible car

  • Cars are made to run on petrol or diesel. If they invent a hybrid flying sorcerer, then I`ll consider buying something on batteries... Until then get a life and get a normal car :)

  • I love the design and the shape, I'd buy on of these if I had money

  • 65mpg with my damn old ass diesel lupo , what is the point of this expensive car?

  • Terrible car IMO. All you are paying for is the look of the car (and it dosent even look that great). It is slow, FWD, no rear seats at all in the US, bad rear visability and cargo area. Then it is priced more than equivalent diesel cars that are more fuel efficient and have none of the drawbacks the honda does

  • Our U.S spec version dose not come with rear seats.

  • Interior looks hideous, it's extremely slow compared to the RCZ and the MPG isn't actually that good. It just looks good from the outside

  • Matt!! do the rx-8 please my dads considering buying it , the 1.3 one :)

  • @mikeskaterdude be careful we have one in our family, the RX8 is expensive to maintain and burns loads of fuel and oil!

  • better a sirocco diesel

  • Thank you for making this review! I don't know how many other people have requested it, but I know I did. Now I'm actually convinced that you make these videos for us, the customers!

  • overstyled as some Hondas are, will date easily, no head room in the rear; what's the point?

  • I really don't get it! It is slow, the boot is small because of the batteries, the interior looks cheap (though futuristic), it had useless rear seats and it is not actually as efficient as you would expect. No wonder you hardly see any!

  • @TheVtieg6 Well, you know what? That's better than Japan because basically you can't have a diesel in Japan. Only Nissan X-trail, Mitsubishi Pajero(Shogun) and commercial vehicles have the diesel option.

  • the back seat was designed with midgets in mind.

  • I don't have a license, yet I still watch these :)

  • Good work by Honda but maybe not good enough.

  • hmmmm , i don't know.

I was expecting the Peugeot rcz

  • Front looks quite nice. Back looks like a stretched open vagina.

  • @boomyakasha You've seen your mother's vagina way too much. ^^

  • @boomyakasha That is disgusting, but also quite funny.

  • @boomyakasha i like vagina

  • @boomyakasha interesting..

  • @boomyakasha idk what kind of girls you have been sleeping with? Or guys haha

  • @boomyakasha

    Why is vagina bad thing?

  • @mustsilm so you're telling me that you'd like to drive around in a car that looks like a vagina?

  • 0 Dislikes - Lets keep it that way

  • @ammkproductions failed unfortunately...

  • @bellci yoou did it!! B)

  • @ammkproductions Too late -.-

  • dog+pig= cr-z

  • Once again i watch a hybrid review and yet again i think to myself why not buy a diesel?

  • @TheVtieg6 I agree. It's just that diesel is more expensive in the states and thats why hybrids are so big over there.

  • @juschill7

How much more would a golf tdi cost over a crz in the states?

  • @TheVtieg6 The honda crv and golf tdi cost about the same and overall the golf is a better value for money. Better MPG, room, features, ect. diesel is about 50-60 cents more expensive per gallon in the states. The CR-Z sucks... Honda coulda put the fit/jazz engine in this car and it would have sold like hot cakes.

  • @juschill7 The GOLF and CR-Z are completely different cars though :S

  • @TheVtieg6 Not sure about the UK, but in the US we don't have many diesels on the market. Plus the CRZ here is $3K less than a similarly equipped Golf TDI and also I'd say for people who drive a lot more in the city, Hybrids are usually better since they can run about without kicking in the gas engine. The Golf TDI is rated 30MPG city, and the CRZ w/ the CVT is 35MPG city. That's really the only reason I can see why. That being said, I'd much rather have the Golf

  • @techdude6693

I think its worth paying extra for because Golf tdi drive, hold resale value and are build better. Best thing about diesels is the midrange torque

  • @TheVtieg6 definitely agree. Not to mention the golf has a useable rear seat, Looks better IMO, and a bigger trunk too. Its worth the extra money.

  • @techdude6693

    exactly

  • @TheVtieg6 off course diesel is the fuel of the devil ;-) !

  • @TheVtieg6 because you live in EPA controlled North America.

  • @Idrinkvault

    actually i live in england

  • @TheVtieg6 "why not a diesel?". Quite a flame starter this one, but I'll give it a try: hybrids are more economical for most drivers (consider city traffic), and in the long run (consider parts such as filters, injectors and turbos). They pollute less, and taxes are usually lower. In the winter, they get up to temp quicker and start easier, and they don't "suffer" so much in city traffic (diesels tend to brake down when driven mostly in town, especially if they're not revved properly).

  • @radu0gheorghe

I dont know much about the battery replacement cost but diesels are not really expensive to run. Ive had a few vws tdis in my family which are mostly driven in the city and never had any reliabity problems. They

  • @radu0gheorghe

They warm up faster than normal petrol engines. If you look at a golf tdi it would give better midrange (140bhp 236 ft lbs), better fuel economy on the overall, remap/chip will easily increase the power and fuel economy (but will void warranty), much better build, nicer to drive and refined, more practical, better looking. As for value for money golfs always hold value really well espcially tdi models. This crz is much nicer than the prius but still not good enough

  • @TheVtieg6 I'm not saying they break down often, but "more often". How often depends on driving style, how long you keep the car, and luck :). I kind of understand why you prefer diesels - I drive a diesel Fiesta and I know why I bought it. But that doesn't mean that diesel is a good choice for everyone. I was trying to answer your "why not a diesel" question because I hope my next car will be electric or hybrid. So I was telling you my reasons :D

  • @radu0gheorghe

Last vw tdi we kep for 3 yrs and sold it about 6 months ago. That was a 02 passat as if you got problems its because you drive a ford not because you drive a diesel

  • @TheVtieg6 The "breaking down" thing is not a fact that's easy to verify. It's not based on my experience, and your experience is probably just as irrelevant. My statement is more based on discussions with mechanics, taxi drivers, etc. (most of them are driving diesels today). And it's also based on the fact that diesel engines work under higher pressure. So they should be more affected in town driving, where stress and temperature varies a lot. And they're more expensive (that's a fact).

  • @TheVtieg6 I might be wrong here, and I respect your opinion. After all, diesel engines are more efficient than petrol ones, and comparable with hybrid ones. And I got your point and I don't expect you to change it. I'm just "trying" to explain why somebody else would think differently. For example, the "pollution" argument is very important for me. And I guess this argument is also opened for debate :D. But I really don't want to go there. Not on Youtube, at least :)

  • @radu0gheorghe

Im not trying to attack you im not 'internet gangster' so dont take it the wrong way. When it comes to taxis thats the worst abuse you can give a car and will affect both petrol and diesel. Most engines wont have to through that use but generally diesels are more realible and can do much higher miles

  • @TheVtieg6 Yes, I figured you're not that kind of guy because you didn't insult me :D. That thing with diesel more reliable than petrol is, I think, only valid for naturally aspirated diesel vs petrol. Now they're all turbocharged (more stress), and in daily usage they are revved not much less than a petrol engine. Again, I didn't get hold of the absolute truth, it's just my understanding. There are many factors involved.

  • I will take the gti or a veloster turbo in Canada.

  • Though he said "hi brits their pretty boring" :)

  • Am I the only one who think Matt resembles Aaron Ramsey who plays for Arsenal??

  • Please do a review of the new vauxhall zafira tourer

  • CR-Z is just really a study design for the Acura NSX

  • can you please make a review for the FJ cruiser althogh you don't have it in your country. Thanks

  • yea!!! cvt blows. too bad its going to be in the new accord :( why honda why D;

  • But there is no point to buy this car then?

A hybrid sport hatchback? Really. If even the megane coupe is more economical, that says enough.

  • audi tt!!

  • So, this is neither economical, neither sporty, neither comfy, neither cheap... I really don't see the point of this car.

  • If it is anywhere near possibility, can you review Škoda Octavia Green E Line ?

  • yes matt!!

  • Make it RWD and not a hybrid and its a winner!

  • I would love to have one!

  • love this man!

  • Will you be doing a review for the Bentley Continental GT?
