"u are the bias Microsoft Fan Boy" lol this is so funny i love it u guys are crazy, and can't just seek out the pros in both pc's and the macs... i would love to see a video from adobepc comment on pros on the mac! witch he won't cuz he is a fanboy... LOL sorry not trying to be rude, but i don't think it matters because adobe pc calls everyone an asshole so he has no respect anyway
this idiot (Macward66) doesnt understand that it is easier to work with dual monitors! adobepc haves very good point of view, but that mac fan boy is retard! i use my 21" for photo editing (not professional) and im happy with it. There is big deference with video and photo editing
I have a 27inch iMac, and always stick up for the mac, but the guy saying use a 30inch screen is a douche and is the reason why apple users get a bad reputation, ill informed and think that, because they have an expensive mac, that they are experts at using one!
macward and others should realize pro photographers will not use glossy screens like the mac. They use matte screens properly calibrated, such as "EIZO". So I don't know what the bloke at 3.56 was talking about. Only an amateur uses a standard PC or mac screen and associated softrware to edit photos
I use both mac and windows (and linux for my servers), and I used dual monitors on both, it's just easier allows you to organize more and put the GUI on one and the previews on the other.
I have seen Apple Cinema displays in the Apple store and they are very unimpressive from what I have seen. They are super glossy and the picture isn't that amazing to be paying $900 for a 24" IPS screen... I can get a 23" viewsonic IPS screen that is not glossy and reflective screen and even has a pivot function so you can turn it portrait mode.
tnoyaca i am just getting started with computers and i can see right through u. Just because were u work has a whole shit load of computers with 22 screens and shit. doesn't mean that YOU have all that AdobePC has a completely personal system that he set up. You just use a system completely on a whole nother level of system programming. You are a duche because you try to compare a home system to a company's system made for several people. (Its like trying to compare a i7 to a Pentium 4)
I did this very thing in my original Apple 30" Display video. I think you should have watched it before posting your video response. I did this same thing you did in my video. There is nothing new being introduced.
If you can get just the video overlay of the Program/Preview monitor to out put to the NTSC monitor that would be great. There is a big difference from what you have and what I have. My titles will be 100% correct your's will not.
everything you said is true, all macward does is spit his made up bullshit. I much rather prefer two monitors as opposed to 1, just easier to manage stuff for me, great vid
You did a good job showing the your setup. I'm waiting to see if Applesolider will post a response that shows his dual setup. Macward66 doesn't really know anything about computers so you can only be mad at him for talking about things he has no clue about.
adobepc got scared because he found out I dont video edit and made this video and tried to turn it on emeek LMAO. you all have been owned
Macward, this a response video to you, much like I've made response video's to you. Adobepc is just asking a question to Emeek to see if he can do the same NTSC output on a second monitor, if he can, that would be good. Now please get your head out of your arse and start using that noodle of yours.
MacWAD...you are so clueless, what a dumbass you are! AdobePC is totally owning your ass! You ridicule us then say you owned us and lock your site, look, if you just put up some cogent points without trying to be a total dick others would treat you with the same respect, but since your videos are all insult videos, then all you shall get back are flame videos on you...oh yeah, and by the way, learn to fucking speak you dildo..."uh-um-er-uh..." shut the fuck up MacWAD!
Firstly as i said before 2 monitors are better than one big one. Like you i make a living with computers, Macward just plays on his toy so he does not understand. Secondly he is a computer snob. As long as it cost alot then it must be great and if you havent got one you are a pauper. He has owned nothing as he understands fuck all. 5 stars mate
How bad is your photography skills where you have to manipulate your whole photo? If you're only touching up a tiny bit here or there, then you could easily do it on a 13" screen while zoomed. I've used a 12.1" laptop to work on some 8MP files and it was no issue at all.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
you obviously must just use a point and shoot camera, A DSLR requires a lot more post processing because it isn't done in the camera. You can set a dslr up to output to a jpeg with certian processing presets, but you will have limited control later. If you shoot raw images a lot of times advanced sharpening techiques are used and it is best to see the whole face on the screen rather than just a eyelash.
I have a Canon 20D. I shoot in RAW and use Photoshop. I still use an old version but it works fine for me.
I find that the majority of the time, pics I take require only small touchups and I dont find a small screen to be a problem. Maybe if the picture was a disaster and I was doing lots of work but I generally try and get it as perfect as possible before it goes into photoshop.
You do realize is just resizing it just the same. You aren't seeing the same pixels. Having more pixels only makes a small difference as it is resizing it to fit on the screen. Until you get to 1:1 ratio your display makes no difference macward.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
funny, you guys telling me about editing when you have no clue what you are talking about. svcountour says he just makes minor adjustments to raw files LOL. you all make up shit just trying to own me but really you all are just owning yourself. adobepc got scared because he found out I dont video edit and made this video and tried to turn it on emeek LMAO. you all have been owned
It only matters on a 1:1 ratio. What is it that you don't understand about that. If your are resizing then it is not more accurate on a 30 inch then a 10 inch. Its at a 1:1 ratio you have a more accurate workspace with more room. Otherwise resizing is resizing. It may be less clear on a smaller monitor but both are inaccurate for editing if the image is not full size.
Ass hole, I edit photographs to you idiot. I actually do magazine layouts. I can take 4 and 5 mega pixel images and use the place option of InDesign to put them in a 1/4 page add. The Magazine is printed on news print and like most print houses all photos must be converted from RGB to CMYK because the highend printing presses do not have the same amount of saturation and contrast as a computer monitor.
Show us how you edit photos jack ass. I bet you're a noob.
I also forgot . Most printing presses need a PDF file. They also often have Mac and PC both. They will have Indesign but they prefer PDFs to avoid preflight problems with missing fonts, missing images among other things.
Do you still think you are the only one who edits photos? Do you still think you owned my ass macward?
You're a pathetic ass hole not a professional photographer.
One of the production systems I use at work is hooked up to a 20" 4:3 LCD. The images we're dealing with are either from a PhaseOne P45 or P65. Since we're mostly doing repro work, a lot of the times our images are stitched and in the 15k x 10k pixel range. The size of the monitor is never a hindrance..
If you seriously have issues with editing your (small) DSLR files on a screen smaller than 30" then you should seriously look into a different hobby.
25k? Who's your Phase one distributor? That would be a steal! The P65 is ~$41K, the P45 was about that when we got it, too. The fact you just referred to a digital back as a "camera" is cute, keep pretending you know what you're talking about.
You also seem to think that we only have a single 20". We have 22 workstations right now, and a few of them are still 20" 4:3 LCDs.
Seriously dude, you're just a hobbyist. Stop acting like you know what you're talking about.
oh quit crying because you got owned,,,I know what digital backs and medium format is..why dont you even post any vids on what you do? Hell I could say I am a space shuttle astronaut after looking up some facts on wiki. get real dude. fail x2
You have never owned anyone you useless piece of shit. Wiki? People can tell by my videos that I am what I say. I don't brag about it but I can indeed rub your nose in it.
Macward you had no idea I did photo editing and graphic design. Face it dude I owned your ass big time becase you totaly suck ass. Stop tryig to be something you are not
I imagine you will try hard to mimic my GUI but it will be to late. Everyone will say you are just trying to mimic my GUI because you don't realy edit photos professionaly and you had no clue about CMYK monitoring. Give it up dude no one believes your bullshit other than kevinklinkmulller.
@adobePC Oh shit never mind I thought you were Macward66 nvm at comment of mine.... This new youtube setup is fucking confusing as shit.... sorry dude.
I don't own a camcorder, so I don't make videos. Even if I did, I wouldn't halt production in one of our labs just to show you. Just because you're jealous I get paid to use a P65 every day, doesn't mean I'm lying
A screencast is definately out of the question. Copyright/NDAs would prevent me from displaying any of our current images.
And for the love of god, please stop using "owned" and "fail" it makes you sound like you're 14. Seriously.
Most video editors are working while being zoomed in.with a 13", you might not have as much real- estate for your photo editing gui, but it does the job just as well as a 30".
Professional video editing is done with broadcast quality NTSC monitors. You view your edits on the NTSC monitor not the VGA screen. They connect with BNC and SDI cables using Decklink cards and AJA cards more often than not. I use a DV converter most of the time but not in this video.
DV converters are OK. They are indeed better than using a VGA/computer screen.
