Slate sucks.

I mean it is better than any of the other tablets like iPad or JooJoo, but all it is, is a touch screen laptop without USB ports. so no iPods/iPhones or Keyboards/Mice etc.

If you want a full OS, buy a laptop imo... as far as 3G internet, get a rocket stick from rogers(canada) or whatever they have from AT&T/Verizon or w/e in the US.

or tether with your iPhone.

iPad is not meant to be a laptop, but the no camera/multitasking is fail on Apple's part so go w/ the Dell or iPad.

The iPad is still without web camera and USB. It does not run Adobe flash however it has its own youtube player which is wonderful.

The JooJoo is heavier and still has some software problems.The hardware may need some updates too.

I would wait for German made WeTab (Intel Atom + HD video accelerator, Linux OS based) or Interpad (Nvidia Tetra chipset and Android OS) which would be more universal in use.

I have been a tablet PC user for almost a decade now. These new "tablets" are sore disappointments, belonging more in a large smartphone category than tablet computer.

My weight may be worse and my battery life worse (until I get a slice battery), but for $400 I went with a used Toshiba M400. Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 1400x1050 screen, no touch but Wacom pressure sensitive display. I can use flash, toon boom, blender, and much more. Far more useful than these new "tablets". Hp Slate is the winner of all no doubt abt it. Jojo and Dell mini 5 are out! Ipad is overpromised but delivers little and so restricting. With Windows 7,u are basically on par with the rest of the laptop computing experience but less powerful;after all it's just a tablet or close to a netbook i would say.

i would get HP slate but on the other hand i do a lot of typing and printing,so ...so far nth is gonna replace a good old laptop experience.
