I just finished reading this book and the writer basically redid Haley's work. He told the same story. But he added in some of his own stuff such as these so-called extra marital affairs, and this alleged homosexual shit. This Marable guy is full of shit. And I wasted $10.00 buying this garbage.

The book never stated that he slept w a white man, however it did examine both Betty's close relationship with Charles Kenyatta that all of Malcolm's associates and even his sister Ella had knowledge of. The book is pointless because Malcolm's life was about transformation. Malcolm made it clear himself that he came from a life of sin & negative ways. Its meaningless to go into detail about those negative ways & what he may have or may not have done. The book never stated that he slept w a white man, however it did examine both Betty's close relationship with Charles Kenyatta that all of Malcolm's associates and even his sister Ella had knowledge of. The book is pointless because Malcolm's life was about transformation. Malcolm made it clear himself that he came from a life of sin & negative ways. Its meaningless to go into detail about those negative ways & what he may have or may not have done. The essence of who Malcolm X was is in the change he made from bad to good & the great leadership he exemplified. This book that focuses on negativity can never change the fact that this brother taught us wisdom & knowledge of self as black people.

During a time when the F.B.I. was trying their utmost to discredit Malcolm X in any way, trying their hardest to discover unsavory tidbits about him even if it involved slander and lies, they didn't mention anything that I know of about him being gay in their entire file on him.
