@MadArab2012 That's right he wasn't alseep. He was in full blown hypnosis which isn't sleep. Although we use the word to induce because that is the fastest pattern exciter in hypnosis, the two states are not even similar.
You haven't busted a myth, you've demonstrated your lack of knowledge about hypnosis.
@JonChase I know enough to know that when someone is hypnotized, their breathing patterns are Very similar to someone asleep. that's one of the cues to check for to see how receptive the person is to your embedded commands.;) so again i say. Myth Busted.

Nice one, Jon. I like the look on his face as you explain the idea of doing "something scary" and his nerves shot way up. :-) I strongly encourage folks to learn how to do the armlock without relaxation or eye closure first. Too many folks are frightened of this sort of thing and don't just give it a go. Interesting way to test the lock, the way you wrap yours around his.
Lovely! A really nice variation on the arm-lock theme. You can clearly see the switch to inward focus and fascination when Paul is trying to bend his arm. Hypnosis as a process, not a state!
Master.

very nice...how much is pure NLP may I ask?
reddreamer37 2 years ago
Absolutely non at all. It's all simple direct suggestion hypnosis.
NLP is a study of stuff, not the stuff itself. What it tries to explain, very badly in my opinion, is hypnosis.

I tried this once and it kinda worked. I done it to my mate and he could bend his arm a little bit. It was quite cool, he was freaked out

I like it! Did the subject know he was going to be put to 'sleep' or did he think it was just a suggestability test?
