@mshineshare The engine in all current Lotuses are supplied from Toyota *yuck* the 4cyls is from the Celica. Before they used engines from Rover *also yuck*. But the main swap is the K20, it's probably the best 4cyl engine in the world currently... very reliable, great power delivery, and responds very well to performance mods, specially forced induction. People boost em to 320HP reliably on stock internals, such a great engine in a Lotus is jaw dropping.

i guess i have to explain for some retards. the K20A come from factory in FWD veichles with the engine at the front. the lotus is RWD with the engine at the back. Wich means that they took the entire front of the honda (for example, the integra DC5) and put it at the back on the exige and made the wheels not "turn-able".

@zidziiman dude you only need the engine, not the entire front.plus he's probably using an aftermarket gearbox with an adapter plate to fit the engine.why the hell would anyone use the entire front end to make a mid engine car and make the wheels not turn-able? lol just swap the engine, if necessary the gearbox too and get some custom axles and engine mounts, clutch, adapter plate and you are ready to go!

@zidziiman you only need custom motor mounts... the only time you would need the entire subframe is if the car is originally front engined.. but not the lotus, the lotus is already mid engine.. it already has the subframe... all you would need is a company that makes motor mounts for such swap

The body style may be a Lotus but the Engine is still a K series Honda.

The very same K series engine (with its factory durability and performance) that can be planted in a light weight chassy (EG or EK civic). Im not into racing but having high performance engines readily avail like this without the need to buy the expensive Lotus body lures many racers. Hence the speed addiction of many Honda drivers

Exhaust note may be diff to a Civic but shows with the right pipes a K can sound awesome
