Means absolutely nothing. The computer can still have sector damage and boot up. Happened to me a few months ago.

but you should know that the thinkpads have an G-sensor and when it moves to fast the hdd heads will go in the parking position instantly......
anyway... i prefer a SSD better then a hdd ;) also in thinkpads
