I have the exact same car too. (her name is Simone...lol) But I just saw a video where a Cadillac Deville's whole passenger side was crushed in but since they are such good cars, the passenger compartment was still in tact.
We had this same car but in black. A lady in a Honda Accord pulled out in front of it and we hit her at 50 MPH. From 10 feet away, you couldn't tell that much had happened to the Cadillac. The Accord was more like a Honda Accordion. Even the police were impressed at how well the Cadillac held up against the Honda.
Needless to say, a Cadillac is all I will ever drive.
Yeah if they are on the verge of failure they let you know waay ahead of time and will not bite the dust until they make it to your driveway or the shop.
